This is an announcement, which solidifies my official break from the overall conservative movement and my total commitment to conscious black conservatism. As of November 17, 2019, I will no longer invest my time in the conservative movement. I've met some truly amazing people along this three-year journey, and I cherish those relationships.
But the conservative platform has become one that does not value the principles I grew up with. Today, instead of battling ideologies and respecting Black voters, the platform has become an abusive spouse in this political marriage. Therefore, I will seek a political place elsewhere, one that will value me as a woman, a black woman, a survivor of sexual assault, a Believer, and a citizen in this country. I have an agenda to which the conservative platform vehemently rejects. Therefore, I reject the platform. My voice and leadership belong to the people who are hurting and who want to see change in our communities. The conservative platform is not my home anymore. I am a strong proponent of conscious black conservatism. Principles matter to me more than anything. People matter to me more than politics. This used to mean something on the conservative platform. But no more. Furthermore, I will no longer work to bridge the gap between black voters and the GOP. Other voices carry that fight, and I support them wholeheartedly. But I will move on. This announcement marks the three-year anniversary since I first began my Right-wing conservative career on social media. But from now on, I will seek candidates on the Independent/Democratic platforms who hold moderate views while being opened to my conscious conservatism. Such leaders exist, and I have done my research to locate them. Furthermore, I will not attend CPAC 2020. There may be other black conservative voices who will be present, whom you can connect with. In addition, I will not be holding The Conscious Conservative Convention in 2020. This event was meant to bridge a major gap between black voters and the GOP; but now I see such efforts prove futile. Since emerging on the conservative social platform, I've been lambasted for contending for the principles. For a people who spend so much time arguing "facts over feelings," Conservatives have abused several "facts" (including matters surrounding my case) because of their feelings regarding my criticism of Blexit. Their social media smears and online onslaughts demonstrate the conservative movement is not a Christian one anymore. It has become nothing more than a cult-like movement meant to destroy authentic conservative voices. By embracing grifters onto our platform, we have exchanged our principles for political popularity contests. The conservative platform of 2019 is an abusive one. In an attempt to destroy my influence and my ability to draw more black voters to the GOP, prominent black "influencers" (from the base) have spread vicious rumors about me, calling me a "bitch," a "pedophile," a "rapist," and a "clout chaser." These individuals took no time to do their proper research regarding my life, including my case. Had they performed their due diligence, they would have learned that my student assaulted me. They would have learned about the student's ongoing extortion and threats against other teachers and women. They would have learned that my arrest came because the student denied my allegations of the assault. They would have learned that in the education world, teachers are abused, threatened, extorted, and violently treated. They would have learned that in an institution that is 99% white, a black teacher's word meant nothing to them. They would have learned that the plea bargain was the result of me and my ex- becoming pregnant with my beautiful daughter; and how the stress of the case nearly killed her and me. They would have learned that I chose to put my baby's life before my own reputation. They would have learned that after giving birth to my daughter, I contacted my lawyer and told him I was ready to fight to clear my name. They would have learned that after petitioning the courts for a complete dismissal of the charges, the SAME PROSECUTOR who came after me decided to work with me IN CLEARING MY NAME! They would have learned that just two years after the false arrest, the case was dismissed. (I document my story in my upcoming book, To My Beloveds, releasing February 2020.) The conservative influencers who lambasted me made no efforts to contact me directly, and they had my number. Despite witnessing my profound contributions to the movement -- my undying love for God and His people -- these "conservative" influencers engaged in massive smear campaigns for the better part of two years on Facebook and Twitter. And for what? Because I made the choice to stand on the principles, to call out the cancer in our movement, to challenge Conservatives to do things God's way? The black "conservative" voices among the recent smears include Sharika Soal, whose supposed activism is to fight against sexual assault and violence. When her smear attack emerged on Twitter, I specifically asked my Beloveds to pray for her, because hurt women hurt other women. If she was truly an honest journalist, she would have contacted me directly. She would have asked me for my story; and I would have directed her to the court documents. Add to this smear campaign Isaiah Washington, former star of Grey's Anatomy. When he first reached out to me via Twitter, I didn't question or chastise him for his alleged homophobia. I didn't turn to media to assess his character. For someone who spent years battling media smear campaigns, I find it repugnant and hypocritical for him to participate in one against me. Let's bring this same sentiment to someone closer to my heart, Shaka Shakur, aka "ShakaTheGod" on Twitter. His past life as a gangster didn't phase me. I didn't hold anything against him. This man was my BROTHER in the conservative movement, someone I called a "black king." Yet, instead of contacting me directly to inquire about my case, he blocks me on Twitter and makes a subtweet about me to his audience. Did anyone within the conscious black conservative movement lambaste him because of his story? No! Because I would have shut them down instantly! These "fresh off the boat (FOB)" black conservatives represent the spirit behind the current conservative movement. This spirit is the antithesis of conscious black conservatism. Our goal is not to hold people's past against them but to work with them so they manifest their God-given purpose. You can understand why I no longer stand side-by-side with such "leaders," for they have neither the wisdom, discretion, discernment, or ability to attract black voters to conservatism. Therefore, the conservative platform loses my support and work, and I will seek to find a political platform that will focus on policies that protect teachers in the school system. I will actively pursue conscious black conservatism, which seeks to make Black Americans a political powerhouse. I will remain steadfast to the call of God. And I will work with anyone (from any Party) who will protect our civil rights and civil liberties. Furthermore, the conservative platform has proven to me that diversity of thought is a myth. Therefore, I wish to be among individuals who value my political intellect; and unfortunately, this is not what the conservative body appreciates. I will continue sharing empowering content on my website. My content will remain fixed on teaching spiritual laws, godly leadership, and book publishing. Most content is geared towards women, helping them to heal from past wounds, women who have encountered far more terrifying stories than mine. I send a blessing to all Beloveds that I met during my brief tenure. But I look forward to connecting with political candidates outside the conservative platform who will embrace my voice, my experience, my story, and my intellectual contributions. Signed, A Fierce Conscious Black Conservative
