How to See Yourself and Others through the Eyes of the Spirit [Guest Speaker, Betty Short-Sams]7/24/2019 Sexual assault, molestation, and the like...These are often common occurrences among girls and women today; yet it seems too few are willing to call it out and address them for what they truly are:
A manifestation of demonic influence. Most often, when women are treated as such, we tend to internalize our abuse. We feel guilty for what's happened. We question our sanity and whether we did something to initiate it. Once we fall into that trap of self-inflicted oppression, we struggle to thrive in life because we worry if such a thing will happen again. But then there are those of us who learned to conquer the shame and guilt. We reclaim our minds and discover our identity in Yeshua. We then become filled with His Spirit, and soon realize we are not victims but rather daughters of the King. Seeing ourselves through new lens gives us hope for the future; and before long, our experiences become a platform for us to help empower others like us. This is a message my guest speaker, Betty Short-Sams, will deliver in The Holy Ghost and You Virtual Summit and Ministry Class. If you think your story is rough, wait until you hear (and read) her testimony. Take a look at the post below to learn more about her. And be sure to enroll in our Ministry Class to receive a FREE copy of her latest book, Weep No More, Little Project Girl. Why Hardships are Nothing More than Stepping Stones to Greatness [Guest Speaker, Tschanna Taylor]7/23/2019 Every so often, the Holy Spirit brings people my way who just stick!Whether it be a client, a student, a colleague, or fellow conservative leader, these people become pillars in my life and life-long comrades.
Years ago, I came across such individual. She was looking for a writing coach to help her put her book and ministry together. She had a terrible experience with another book publisher; and she simply wanted a person who could give her the truth. Well, when you ask the Holy Spirit for something, He's going to deliver; and that's exactly what she received when we connected. Tschanna Taylor has been a long-time client and student of mine. During one of our coaching sessions, she shared a personal story with me, one she hadn't even shared with her mother. After listening to her, I gave her this response: "Tschanna, your story is your ministry. That story will cause you to help other women stuck in the same position." More than a year later, Tschanna has taken on my advice, packaged her story, and is now leading other women to claim victory. This is why I am so pleased to have her join my lineup of speakers for The Holy Ghost and You Virtual Summit and Ministry Class. If you think your story is tough, you won't want to miss her presentation as she describes the turmoil she experienced trying to hide her secret from others. Take a look at the post below to learn more about her and her exciting presentation. Every woman can attribute her success to one or more persons...I attribute mine to the Holy Spirit, the family I was born into, and the few leaders I've come to call mentors.
Each person, based on their gifts and anointing, has imparted something into my life. My father taught me to forever reject the victim's mentality; my step mother taught me about the prophetic office and gifts; spiritual leaders like Dr. Myles Munroe and Dr. Creflo Dollar taught me about Kingdom principles and dominion; my birth mother introduced me to the world of publishing. Each person had a part and share in the success I have today. But none have been more instrumental in my growth and expansion than the Holy Spirit. Too often, Believers think of the Holy Spirit as a force or a lesser being among the Triune Godhead. But the Holy Spirit is God, equal in power and strength; He is a spirit with a personality, and His desire is to have relationship with the sons and daughters of God to empower them to be effective agents of change in the earth. Knowing the Holy Spirit and understanding the gifts He distributes to the Body are primary pillars of FKMinistries; and during the Holy Ghost and You Virtual Summit and Ministry Class, my friend and fellow writing coach, Angela Meer, will teach you how to work them within your ministry. Read the rest of the post to learn more about her and the lesson she has planned for you. I can't tell you the number of times I wanted to quit this work...Back in 2016 when the Holy Spirit asked me to devote my full-time towards FKMinistries and our virtual work, I initially resisted the prodding.
"I'll go broke doing ministry," I contended. "And I don't like being broke. Plus, Your people are hard to deal with." (Of course, the Holy Spirit reassured me I wouldn't go broke, and in fact, He gave me creative ideas for generating wealth.) Before 2010, I spent a large portion of my life serving in ministry. I was a leader in our youth group, I was on the praise team, I led a ministry dance team. I gave so much towards the work; and when my "7-year tribulation" emerged, I wanted nothing to do with the ministry. (It's something about the attacks that gave me a bad taste for "laboring in God's vineyard.") Quite often, when we position ourselves as leaders in a movement, we become a target for ridicule, persecution, and the like. We inevitably set ourselves up to receive public criticism, and for most people, this is a major turnoff. I'm sure you may have felt the same way, especially as you contemplated moving forward in your ministry. Maybe you're questioning if this is something you want to venture given all the troubles that arise; and if so, this teaching is just for you. Ladies, I am so pleased to introduce my guest speaker, Lady "Di" Lovelace, who will teach you about the power of perseverance. Take a look at the remaining post to learn more about her and this dynamic teaching coming up. What makes us all unique? Some argue our fingerprints, our eyes, our hair, or our shape.
I argue that it's our stories. Yet, despite our uniqueness, our experiences often connect us with people of similar backgrounds. It's in moments like these we discover that while we may be different, something always connects us, even spiritually. During The Holy Ghost and You Virtual Summit and Ministry Class, my guest speaker, Danyelle Scroggins, will teach you why your story is really not your own. The experiences we read in the Bible, for example, are used as an admonition to us today. In like manner, your story has the power to resonate with someone who needs deliverance and healing. Take a look at today's article to learn more about Danyelle and her powerful teaching on "Why Your Story Doesn't Belong to You but to the World." There's something powerful about divine connections. For me, I've discovered these connections via the online space.
When working with my clients and students, I teach them to develop online relationships, not just with readers, but also with other experts. In doing so, they build a powerful mastermind of strong men and women who deliver support and encouragement along the way. And this is what I've found in Sherise Smith. Sherise first connected with me on Facebook after engaging in many of my political and spiritual discussions. After reading her own posts, and observing for myself her ability to impact others, I knew I had to add her to The Holy Ghost and You Ministry. Take a look below to learn more about her and the powerful teaching she will bring to you. Not many people within my virtual ministry and audience know this, but......for years, I had a tumultuous relationship with my birth mother.
The ups and downs led to years of silence. And I mean that literally. It was nothing for me not to speak to her for three or four years at a time. But back in 2017, as my virtual ministry began growing, I realized harboring ill feelings towards her did me a disservice. One day in 2019, while spending time with Ruach Elohim, He said, "Call your mother." (Again, I had not spoken to her in years.) I wrestled with that instruction for several days, because I did not want to go through another emotional cycle. Nevertheless, I eventually obeyed. Days later, I sent her a text message that basically read, "Hi mom. How are you? This is Felecia. If you'd like, Aaliyah and I would like to have lunch with you." Little did I know that at that very moment, in her part of California, she had just asked the Holy Spirit, "When will I get to see my grand-babies." (That's how the Holy Spirit works!) Fast forward to July 2019, my mother and I are on another level. No relationship is perfect; but I can tell you, we have never been closer. This is why I am so honored to introduce you to her as one of my guest speakers for The Holy Ghost and You Virtual Summit and Ministry Class. My mother, Paulette Harper, is an award-winning, best-selling author; she's also the reason I entered the publishing industry back in 2011. During her powerful teaching, she will show you how you can overcome the shame and guilt of your story so you emerge publicly with grace and beauty. Let me tell you: this journey of building a virtual ministry can be challenging. But when you surround yourself with Spirit-led women who have a heart to see you win, nothing will be impossible. Learn more about our event, our class, and Paulette Harper's teaching below. There are very few women I trust implicitly in this virtual space...Even fewer that I'm willing to share my platform with.
But my guest speaker, Coach Tamika Sims, is high among those ranks. I first met Coach Sims back in 2016 at the launch of my first virtual summit for Christian Authors. Since then, I've observed a woman who knows how to use her story to create a business or ministry around her authorship. During The Holy Ghost and You Virtual Summit and Ministry Class, Coach Sims will deliver an empowering teaching on why you have the potential needed to equip your future audience. I can't speak highly enough of this amazing woman, and I hope you come to value the golden treasures she has for you. Check out the rest of this article to learn more about her and how you can gain access to our empowering summit and ministry class. When The Holy Ghost and You Ministry first emerged in my spirit, I didn't know how others would receive it.Traditionally, Believers like to follow people with squeaky-clean records. They want leaders who never fell or who never endured public persecution. They want a fairy-tale leader with magical stories of wonder and perfection. Of course, these are the kind of Believers who are about as spiritually mature as my 7-year-old daughter.
So, when Ruach Elohim (the Spirit of God) placed this work in my heart, I struggled with it a bit. I knew it would require me telling my story publicly (without me feeling oppressed or depressed again). It also meant encouraging women leaders like you to take your truth and convert it into an actual ministry. One of the lessons Ruach Elohim showed me was my story -- and essentially your story -- would never be more "scandalous" than Yeshua's. Here was the Son of Elohim, living physically in a world that could not recognize its Creator. Here was the Son of Elohim, succumbing to ridicule and shame for bringing the Kingdom message to the people. Here was the Son of Elohim, dying a sinner's death when He never knew (or was intimately acquainted) with sin. It's actually mind-blowing when you truly study Yeshua's life and ministry. Put His story in our current setting, and you will see just how scandalous it is. In this empowering lesson, Beloved, I want to teach you why you have nothing to fear as you seek to launch your own ministry using your story. Nothing you have gone through compares to the immense degradation our Lord encountered. To this day, people can't stop speaking about his scandalous story; and yet, His name remains the name above all names. As you engage in this lesson, understand you're in good company. Consider your story among the heroes of faith who endured far worse situations, and yet they received their crown of righteousness because they did not count their lives unto death. They gave their testimonies, functioned in their ministries with integrity, and eventually assumed a position of honor. Let this be your witness as well. Now, let's jump into today's teaching. |
