Bless the Lord, Believer! Welcome to another Empowering Post, where I teach you valuable, actionable lessons that will help you launch your virtual ministry.
I'm Felecia Killings, and I've been working with Christian Authors and Ministry Leaders for several years now. I'm deeply committed to helping you discover your purpose for your virtual ministry, and I provide the training solutions that enable you to make your vision a reality. With every article that I publish, I want to give you different tips and lessons that you can start implementing today. Building a virtual ministry, as new as it may be, is much more complex than what many Leaders realize. Therefore, it's my mission to help make your journey easier to understand and manage. In today's post, I want to teach you about how to properly invest in your virtual ministry, even if you're a new Christian Author, Speaker, or Conservative Leader. There are so many entrepreneurs who are vying for your attention and your money, and sometimes this can be overwhelming. Many "gurus" promise to deliver powerful results to you if you choose to hire them; and some of them can actually deliver. But when there are so many experts from which to choose, it can be daunting and outright frustrating, especially because you don't want your resources (time and money) to be wasted. So, what I want to do today is give you the five must-have investment tips for your new virtual ministry. I'll also share with you why these elements are important, and how I have used them to help me move forward in my work. More specifically, this article will teach you about:
So, grab your notepad and pen, and let's spend some time discussing the "5 Business Elements to Invest in Each Year as a New Virtual Minister."

Bless the Lord, Believer! Welcome to another Empowering Post within the LiyahAmore University blog series.
I am Felecia Killings, Founder and CEO of FKMinistries, and our mission is to equip you for your work of virtual ministry using the written and spoken word. In the event you are new to my virtual ministry and blog, allow me to share more about the services and offerings we provide to Believers like you. Over the last few years, I've helped new Christian Authors (and now upcoming Speakers and Conservative Leaders) craft powerful books that bring healing and deliverance to others. I've taught my clients and students the power of using their stories as a method of empowering other people who have gone through similar experiences. Not only do I provide assistance in helping my clients construct their own books, but I also equip them to launch their own ministries using the virtual or online space. This includes providing teachings on best practices for marketing their works as self-published authors, setting up their social media platforms for building a fanbase, creating multiple streams of income for their ministry, and much more. In all, building a virtual ministry extends beyond simply writing a book or securing a couple of speaking gigs. It's about creating a movement that revolutionizes someone's world; and you, my Beloved Reader, have the power to do the same thing if you are willing to learn the spiritual and technical skills required to succeed. That, in essence, is where my ministry and I come in. Now, for today's teaching, I want to help you develop a strategy for building your virtual ministry while still working for another company. Not every Believer is able to commit to their ministry full-time at the beginning, but it doesn't mean that one's ministry has to sit on the sidelines. So, I want to share some tips with you today, because the only way that your ministry will grow is when you are ready to sacrifice some things to make it happen. Without further delay, let's get into this lesson on "How to Build Your Virtual Ministry While Working Another Job." Bless the Lord, Believer! Welcome to the LiyahAmore University blog series, where we teach you powerful lessons that will help you launch a virtual ministry that will change the world.
For today's teaching, I want to discuss the importance of finding the right mentor or coach for your ministry, especially because you are just entering this world of virtual ministry, Christian writerpreneurship, and the building of a speaking platform. In a previous article, I shared with you the meaning and purpose of a virtual ministry and why you should launch one of your own this year. But just to recap, here is a basic definition of a virtual ministry:
I've been working my virtual ministry consistently since 2016, and have watched as tens of thousands of people were impacted by the teachings I delivered; and what I provide is just a small portion of all God wants the world to hear. You and I have a special part to play in this end-time revival and national reformation. God may be calling you to address issues that my ministry cannot; and your obedience to the call will win people over to the Kingdom. Now, if you are new to my virtual ministry, let me introduce myself. I'm Felecia Killings, Founder of FKMinistries. Our mission to equip God's people for this end-time revival and national reformation using the written and spoken word. We accomplish this mission by helping new Christian Authors, Speakers, and Conservative Leaders build powerful virtual ministries. Many people believe God placed a book in them to share with the world. Perhaps you feel the same way. Book publishing can revolutionize your life and help you build a powerful platform for your ministry; but you must understand the technical and spiritual aspects that come with such endeavors. Not only that, but in order to prosper in your works, you must also adapt business strategies to your ministry, including using the virtual space to find and nurture your audience. When done correctly, you will create a virtual ministry that will last a lifetime; and that's where I come in...to help you put the pieces together using my training materials found in FKMinistries' online school, LiyahAmore University. Now for today's article, I want to discuss the importance of mentorship or coaching. When I first began working with Christian Authors back in 2011, I did not realize how many of them needed assistance in this area. I made the assumption that every new Christian Author knew how to build their writing career just as I did; but this was not so. And since discovering this gap in the Christian market, I have cultivated myself as a professional coach and mentor to Christian Authors from around the world. (My services now extend to Believers who want a speaking platform as well.) This aspect of my business is not far from what I did as an English instructor to high school students and adult learners. In fact, many of the teaching strategies that I developed over the years are also employed when I work with Believers like you. And I want to share with you the many benefits of having a coach--a Christian one, at that--who can help you build your virtual ministry on a solid foundation. New authors and speakers who have made the decision to invest their time and resources into their virtual ministry, including hiring a dynamic coach, have witnessed great success in their work. And in a moment, I will share why this is so. But for now, I want you to consider how far you wish to go in this journey as a rising Virtual Minister. Because in truth, you can only succeed based on the vision and current training that you have. In other words, your virtual ministry will be limited unless you are willing to work with someone who can take you further in your work. You need someone who is more skilled and advanced than you so that your ideas become a reality. And that's what a great mentor and writing coach will do for you. So, here's what you can expect from today's Empowering Post. In this article, you will learn:
So, without delay, let's jump into today's teaching. Bless the Lord, Believer! Welcome to the LiyahAmore University blog series, where we share powerful lessons that help you build a dynamic virtual ministry that will change the world.
Whether you are a new and aspiring Christian Author, Speaker, or Conservative Leader, these articles are just for you. Each one will provide you a snippet of what you can expect to receive as a student inside LiyahAmore University. Before I jump into this lesson, let me introduce myself in case you are new to the blog and my virtual ministry. My name is Felecia Killings. I'm the Founder and CEO of FKMinistries, and our mission is to help God's people engage in this end-time revival and national reformation using the written and spoken word. Since 2011, I've worked with Christian Authors specifically to help them craft powerful books that minister to a particular audience. And in January 2018, I scaled the business and ministry to focus on upcoming authors, speakers, and conservative voices who believe they have a message to share with others. Feel free to learn more about me and the ministry here. Now, within the LiyahAmore University blog series, I provide numerous teachings on the technical aspects of launching a virtual ministry; and in case you're wondering what this term means, allow me to explain. Think about your favorite author, writer, speaker, thought leader, or conservative influencer. Now imagine yourself being one such individual who uses both the online and offline space to spread the message God called you to do. This is the essence of a virtual ministry. More specifically, a virtual ministry is a work that enables people to develop a strong relationship with God. Virtual ministers use the spoken and written word to "tear down, take apart, and demolish" ideologies that rise against the knowledge of God (Jeremiah 1:9-10); and then we use our messages to help build and plant again so that lives are changed for the better. A virtual minister does more than publishes books. One's work embodies a movement that tackles areas such as abortion, domestic violence, family, finances, relationships, politics, and more. When implemented effectively, virtual ministers can create works that generate sustainable income. More than that, they can create ministries that revolutionize the culture, one person at a time. But building a powerful virtual ministry requires one to understand the business and technical aspects of the work. Even if you choose not to operate your future virtual ministry on your own, it's important that you have the knowledge and understanding so you won't be deceived in this world of publishing and ministry. When you don't know much about this industry and the virtual space, it can be easy for other people to take advantage of you. I don't want that to happen to you, and this is why I deliver such education. Now, for today's teaching, I want to share with you 13 best business practices that will help your future or current virtual ministry thrive. So, grab your notepad and pen, and let's spend some time together. I thought it was time to share a personal story. This week, I decided to take a 7-day hiatus from social media, the first big break since launching my virtual ministry on Facebook in 2016.
I felt it was time to take a moment to reflect on things and to ensure that I was mentally and emotionally ready for the increase that is about to come. You see, I have this "thing" about success. I love working towards it. I love being successful. I love setting goals and seeing them realized. But a traumatic experience from my past often reminds me that success can come and go in the blink of an eye, especially when one is not prepared to handle the conflict that arises with such increase. And that's where I find myself right now: in a state of excitement for this growth, yet at the same time anxious about what's to come. Being a leader is terrifying, yet everyone finds it so attractive. Being in the forefront of ministry, any ministry, can sometimes place undue pressure on a person. I know this because I've been in a spotlight nearly my entire life. My parents are pastors of a church in California. My sister and I were always scrutinized by members of the church. Our names were constantly in people's mouths. Folks waited around for our demise so they could run their mouths, speaking more evil about us, all because we were the Pastor's daughters. Growing up in this kind of limelight--although not on a national platform like some daughters--was tough. It affected me emotionally and physically at times; and quite often, no matter how much success I acquired, no matter how much I had empowered other people, some church members would find a reason to make us feel like "we weren't doing enough." On top of being a pastor's daughter, I was also a well-known teacher in the Fairfield-Suisun school district; and I was fire! (J/K...I don't like to brag.) I loved working with my students, seeing them take the written and spoken word and using it to bring change on the campus. Once again, I found myself giving and giving and giving until I became so vulnerable that my life was literally in danger. My teaching career within the public school ended after a student threatened me, assaulted me, and lied on me to the police, forcing me to spend thousands of dollars in legal fees to defend myself. Talking or writing about the incident still hurts me...but I've managed to turn that story into a ministry that now helps other women overcome their hurts. But again, with that level of success, I experienced a downfall. Each time I've given myself over to an area of ministry--whether in the schools or in the churches--I could sense God nudging me into another level. But the problem was I would become too comfortable in my position that I would technically rebel against his prodding. It took some time, but before long, God led me to start a virtual ministry of which you now experience; and again, I'm back in the spotlight. My experiences have taught me that when this happens and there comes a time for increase, my rebellion against such prodding places me in precarious situations. And right now, I can see the increase right before me. I see the Lord wanting to lead me through a new door of opportunity. I can see Him taking me beyond my current place and putting me in position to where thousands more will be impacted by my message. But the problem I'm dealing with is that, once again, I am finding myself comfortable in my current place. I'm content with my current influence; and ultimately, I'm content with not having so many people look to me for guidance. And now I have a choice: Either I can stay where I'm at and experience turmoil for resisting the Holy Spirit or I can trust Him and walk through this new door of opportunity. |
