That Time When "Stop and Frisk" Stopped Being So Sexy to Conservatives

I preach this message all day, every day in Twitter Class: The law of sowing and reaping is always in effect.

It seems the more I preach this message, the more Conservatives double-down on their destructive rhetoric. And it never fails: the law of sowing and reaping comes back to smack us into reality.

Months ago, fellow Conscious Ones and I blasted Conservatives for their celebratory statements surrounding "Stop and Frisk." I wrote an extensive piece on this a while ago, especially as Mike Bloomberg came under fire for the destructive policy he implemented years ago.

At the time, the Conservative camp made excuses as to why Black Americans should have their rights violated. Their responses were disgusting:

  • "It's in the best interest of the community."
  • "Black people commit 50% of all homicides."
  • Yada, yada, boo boo

They had the audacity to double down on their rhetoric, even pulling support from their favorite Black Conservative pundits.

Imagine: A platform that preaches about the need to preserve the Constitution now arguing that certain fellow Americans should have their rights stripped on the basis of race.

(I guess those colorblind shades got lost in the shuffle somewhere.)

Well, like a rushing, mighty wind, the Law of Sowing and Reaping swooped in to bring Conservatives a healthy dose of Karma. She came to remind Conservatives that when you celebrate the violation of rights for a group of Americans, you can expect your rights to be violated next!

And that's what I want to tackle in this week's Conscious Conservative post.

The Statement is True:

The way I treat you, Beloved, has lasting ramifications for how other people treat me.

When people look at my current platform and see how it continues expanding -- despite my scandalous story -- they often wonder, "How?"

The answer is simple: The way I treated my Beloved scholars back when I worked with them was my way of sowing into my own future. I didn't treat my scholars with disdain. I empowered them. I covered them. I devoted my life and career to seeing them prosper.

So, when it came time for me to have a defense, YahWeh came through and placed people on my pathway who worked to empower and protect me. Even the prosecutor worked in my favor in the end, requesting the judge dismiss the entire criminal case.

That's how the Law of Sowing and Reaping works.

Either we learn to use this law as a method for prospering, or we will witness this law work against us completely.

Enter the discussion about "Stop and Frisk."

For the longest time, Conservatives defended Democratic policies (the irony!) that directly harmed Black Americans. They made excuses, arguing that the only way to ensure public safety was by enforcing the "Stop and Frisk" policy against every Black or Brown person in certain cities.

This policy increased the number of incarcerated Black people.

This policy made Black men fearful of leaving their homes.

And this policy further agitated relationships between the police and the community.

But, of course, the Conservative base -- who constantly preach "Back the Blue" -- believed this policy was the BEST solution to the "uncivilized" behavior coming from Black Communities.

Oh, Lord, how I love Your laws!

Recently, the nation was hit with a pandemic and plague. You know the story, Beloved, because you are living in this historical moment.

But never did we imagine that our Republican White House would support the idea of full-blown socialism to help offset the rise in plague deaths.

Enter the Trump administration and the socialist blessing.

To handle the pandemic, Americans were FORCED to stay home. State governors, like Gavin Newsom of California, reached out to President Trump to discuss measures for containing the virus.

Thus, the wretched "Stay-at-home" orders emerged across the nation.

That meant no work, no movies, no shopping, and zero social interaction.

We all have to stay at home ... government orders. And each governor received Trump's blessing. In fact, fairly recently, the President made this statement, declaring he had "total power." In other words, the economy wouldn't open again without Trump's say so.

So much for small-government Republicanism (LOL!).

It took no time for the Conservative base to react negatively to these orders. Naturally, they blamed the Democrats for everything ... because you know, that's just what we like to do in our spare time.

Before long, protests were organized and demands to "Liberate" this state and that state came from our President's Twitter pulpit.

And that's when it hit all the Conscious Ones: Now that Conservatives are forced to stay home "for the betterment of the community," they have nothing but angst against authority. They argue their rights are being violated, and they want this matter to end quickly.

The IRONY of this entire situation has me laughing! You see, when Black Americans prove the police state is mistreating them, Conservatives argued hard why such abuse was for their own good.

But now that we have a new plague that's killing people -- and is CONTAGIOUS -- somehow, Conservatives feel the mandatory stay-at-home orders should be overthrown.

I. CanNOT. Deal! (LOL)

"If you celebrate the violation of rights for one group of Americans, then expect your rights to be violated next."

No matter what industry we are in, whenever we deal with humans, we must remember the spiritual laws that help guide our behavior and interactions.

I cannot emphasize this enough. What we sow into the atmosphere -- including the political one -- will eventually generate a harvest that will either bless us or curse us.

Imagine if Conservatives had defended their fellow American brothers and sisters against the racist, progressive policies. Imagine if they had fought alongside Black Americans, who were systematically being targeted ON THE BASIS OF THEIR RACE! Imagine if they had put on those colorblind shades to see that Americans were having their Constitutional rights violated.

Would we be in this same predicament right now?

The answer is no, no we would not be here.

We wouldn't be here because the spiritual laws would have worked in our favor. If we had remained true to our convictions and values -- particularly treating people the way we want to be treated -- we would be in a more prosperous position.

But alas, we simply repeat the same mistakes that destroy nations. It seems no matter how many times we are presented with opportunities for growth, we find a way to forget YahWeh's laws. Then we return to our vomit, consume it, and regurgitate the very actions that put us in our predicament.

Personally, I am harder on the Conservative camp because we do things against people in the name of Yah. We say things and call it "holy" or "Christian" when, in fact, YahWeh is far from that.

I don't have to condemn the Left for being the Left. They do what they want, and none of them try to cloak their actions behind YahWeh's name.

It's the people who call themselves the "righteous" ones that bring me the most trouble. And I'm pleading with Beloved Conservatives to change their ways.

I am pleading with the "Christian Conservative Camp" to do things YahWeh's way so we experience His results.

Isn't the Conservative platform tired of losing? Isn't it tired of being called racist every five minutes? Isn't it tired of being the brunt of so many jokes?

Well, if so, things must change! Hearts must change. Our minds must be renewed to think the thoughts of God. When we posture ourselves to receive clear direction from the Holy Spirit, we always win.

And as the political platform that ascribes the "Christian" name on its banner, it's time for us to let our politics and our rhetoric reflect Yeshua.
