Foolishness. It's a word we often hear.
But when it manifests before our eyes, it's an embarrassing sight to behold. This morning's Twitter Class began with a simple tweet about wisdom: "Ignoring wisdom is a man's folly. To be privileged with insight, yet to disregard its guidance is foolishness. Wisdom is wealth to a man. Knowledge is his privilege." Immediately following, I wrote, "Become knowledgeable in any area, and you will develop success. This includes love and marriage." Over the last week, I've been studying Dr. Myles Munroe's teaching in The Purpose and Power of Love and Marriage. His book provides a lot of confirmation to the teachings I've delivered about building a strong social empire. For example, he highlights why a successful marriage is based on knowledge, planning, and intent. As I've often said, it's foolish to leave such a powerful institution to chance or luck for survival. Another point he makes is in our society, we spend thousands of dollars and hours of training to develop our economic success. But when it comes to marriage, people do not engage in knowledge and wisdom to make this life-long commitment a success. All of his teachings, much like mine, pull from God's original idea for marriage. But one of the key highlights I stress on my platform is the need for women to make themselves suitable for a particular man of vision. This also includes finding a man who can provide leadership, because this is what women of value desire. Essentially, that point I made triggered a follower, who told me such a statement was sexist. To them, a woman looking for leadership in a man is offensive. I happily replied: "Bring me evidence proving why your methods are better than God's. Your ways lead to broken families and broken marriages." Too often, when I share spiritual laws and teachings about building social, political, and economic empires, detractors will tell me why those methods will never work. Yet, I can find irrefutable evidence proving why THEIR ways fail. It stands to reason, if man's wisdom is not producing the kind of results our hearts truly desire, then we may want to return to God's ways for better solutions. After all, it only makes sense, right? When a woman finds herself in the presence of a man who knows God, understands his purpose, and functions in his vision, she is far less stressed. She can freely give of herself because her foundation is strong. She has no fear in such surroundings. Seeking a man of vision, and valuing the leadership he possesses, does not reduce a woman's essence or power. It's not sexism. It's trust. And in marriage, trust matters immensely. When trust is present, a woman has no fear. And when a woman has no fear, she will give herself freely to a man of vision. Her pure faith will then inspire him to reach new heights. And her gifts will be used to help build a social empire based on the God-given vision. These teachings I bring are not to diminish the power of a woman. Nor are they to make men feel superior to women. My lessons are empowering to both, because they pull from God's original thoughts regarding the most powerful master mind known to mankind: the marriage. In a divine union, both male and female exercise dominion. A woman's submission to a husband's leadership, therefore, is not oppression or sexism. It's a willingness to trust his direction as they both flex powerfully in a given space. When I discuss traditional, spiritual values, I will always come from a Kingdom perspective. I will always focus on practicing dominion. In a union, someone must lead! And in the case of God's order, that is the husband. That also means when a union fails or there is calamity, the husband will be held responsible, even if the wife makes the most mistakes. We see evidence of this when God checked Adam firstly after both sinned. Knowing this, it stands to reason why women ought not feel the need or stress to be the heads of a marriage. We are not willing to take responsibility or accountability for a failed union. If God placed that "pressure" on a husband, why try and bring more added pressure on ourselves to fit that leadership role? Again, such actions only add stress to a woman. And submission relieves her of such responsibilities so she can function fully in her own grace. These teachings are designed to help us realign ourselves so we witness powerful results in our social empires So many of us have tried doing things our own way. We've tested "strategies" given to us by relationship experts who don't know God. But what results have they produced for us? Are our marriages stronger? Are our families tighter? Do we witness couples practicing dominion on a massive scale? No, we don't! For that reason, a call to return to the Ancient ways is present. Without question, the desire for marriage and romantic relationships is good. But what happens when we've found our suitables? What are the next steps? How do we maintain something so beautiful and powerful for a lifetime? Certainly, we can't leave this union up to luck. We must be intentional. There must be something strategic we can implement that will provide a clear pathway for our union's success. That pathway is found in Kingdom principles. As such, we will continue moving in this direction of building social, political, and economic empires based on Kingdom principles because they work. Literally, nothing else will do.
