During today's podcast, I want to discuss the power of the written word and how book publishing can position you as a thought leader in our movement. While many of us continue to see our platforms expand, especially on Twitter, it's important to remember that other voices are needed. I strongly believe in the collective. I believe all hands must be on deck. I do not believe one voice should ever represent an entire movement. Therefore, within The Felecia Killings Foundation, I purpose to work with each individual to make their voices heard. That's the training I deliver in my online school and with our newest publishing services. And if you're bold enough to say "yes" to your calling, know that YahWeh has provided you the training you need to thrive. So, let's jump right into today's lesson. I know it will bless you. Listen to Episode 5 of The Conscious Conservative Podcast Right HereBut first, let's get some things off my chest.Earlier this week, Black voters came through BIG TIME to show their support for moderate candidate, Joe Biden. In a startling twist of political fate, the socialist klan among the Democratic side expressed outrage that Black voters did not support Bernie Sanders. On the Conservative side, Conscious Black Voices immediately used this opportunity to throw mud in the camp's face, proving once again that Black voters are NOT a bunch of needy socialists who want handouts. By overwhelmingly rejecting Sanders' "everything is free" mantra, Black voters very well saved this country from socialism dominance. This moment should have been another victory for the Conservative camp in terms of connecting to Black voters; yet it turned into -- you guessed it -- another communication's failure. Instead of championing Black voters' rejection of socialism, Conservatives resorted to ... ... wait for it! ... the slave plantation rhetoric. I don't know why the base favors this weapon in their fight for conservatism. For years now, Conscious Black Conservatives have told White Conservatives that Black voters are primarily conservative and moderate. And instead of rallying with fellow Americans who believe as they do, they decide to FIGHT AGAINST them simply because Black voters won't vote Republican. It's no wonder so many long-standing Black Conservatives like myself have said, "Enough," and have #WalkedAway" from the Republican Party. This brings me to my main lesson on today's episode of the podcast. The reason so many Conservatives regurgitate the racist, low-IQ rhetoric coming from their favorite pundits is because we don't have enough conscious conservative content. Back in mid-2019 when I jumped into Twitter, it seemed as though the prominent conscious voices were drowned out by the mainstream messages. Perhaps it's because their voices were a bit scattered, meaning everyone was in their separate corners. And when I brought my activism to this space, I began connecting the voices into one major Twitter Class. You'll notice I call these voices "Twitter Professors," because I wanted to provide the Conservative Collective a holistic understanding of authentic Black Conservatism. And it worked. Before long, the movement spread like fire. We endured backlash and social media smears; but we weathered through the storm, because our principles grounded us against the pervasive, shallow talking points. More Conscious voices produced additional content on their blogs and in the general Twitter Class sphere. And more White Conservatives embraced the positive message for Black outreach. In other words, we changed the game in favor of Conscious Black Voices; and it's only a matter of time before the mainstream ones fade off into oblivion. But the voices who came together in this impromptu movement cannot be the only ones speaking. And in this lesson, I want to encourage you become a new voice in the movement. We Need More Content Creators with Consciousness Right Now!In Summer 2019, Jeff Charles, a Contributor to Red State and my fellow conscious brother in Twitter Class, interviewed me for his article on Liberty Nation. One of his questions asked me my thoughts about spreading the message and making it reach the masses. I told him, "The answer is to get more voices to publish content." In other words, once the market is saturated with conscious, empowering, conservative content, this ideology will remain the dominant one in our country. While it's great to see dozens of empowering voices on Twitter, there is so much more we can contribute. When we think about our younger generation, we want them to recognize Black Conservatism as empowering, not condescending. We want them to see Conscious Black Conservatism as a viable alternative to liberalism and mainstream conservatism. We want folks to see how history plays out in today's political space. And the only way we can do this quickly and effectively is when we see more voices publishing content. Now, while today's lesson focuses on book publishing, I want to highlight that this form of content isn't all that can be produced. If you have a message or a calling to speak and write, you can construct:
There are so many ways the conscious conservative message can spread. And here at The Felecia Killings Foundation, we train our Beloveds to do this effectively. How Book Publishing Positions You as a Thought Leader in the MovementSince 2011, my career has focused on teaching Christian Authors, Speakers, and Spiritual Leaders how to use the written and spoken word to build businesses or ministries. This year, I've expanded my career to teach rising Conscious Conservatives how to use their words to start (or enhance) movements. And one of the best methods for doing this comes through book publishing. In one lesson called "How to Normalize the Conservative Message in Our Communities," I taught you that your story is the most powerful, persuasive tool for preaching conservatism. Not talking points from the Right. Not abstract messages that have zero relevance to the people. Your story. Your message. Your life's experience is the PERFECT way to evangelize conservatism, because you demonstrate to readers how this ideology empowered you. When you publish a book around these values, you not only connect with readers, but you also position yourself as a thought leader in the overall movement. Consider my platform, for example. Back in 2016, when I first publicized my support for Trump, I spread my message on social media via posts. After about a year of constant engagement, I launched my first conservative book, The Fifteen 20 Rise, which bolstered my presence in the movement. The market places great value on voices who write books. Such individuals are instantly perceived as credible and authoritative. And when the book truly delivers impact, these authors become well-known in their particular fields as the experts. This is why I teach my authors to produce quality works; because even if they do not generate massive book sales from their readers, leaders in their industry will recognize them. This leads to other doors of opportunities. The same can be said of conscious conservative voices who package their expert knowledge in book format. They bring new ideas to the conservative market. And while the vast majority of Conservatives won't actually read their books, current thought leaders will take notice and this helps expand a person's political platform. For this reason, I encourage those of you who have a strong message of empowerment to put your knowledge in a book. From that book, pull snippets of your work and discuss them boldly with your audience on social media. Get your book in the hands of influencers in this conservative space, and watch as your movement or platform increases. At The Foundation, all of our authors have a small platform within our space. Those who go through our award-winning program and purchase our publishing services find themselves instantly connected to our network. As I begin my speaking tour in Atlanta, GA and in various parts of the country, I take my authors' books with me, because I believe their voices are just as important as mine. So, as you consider your own voice, your life's experience, and the lessons you've learned, start writing ideas for a book. Get enrolled in a publishing school so you learn about this industry and how to navigate it. Hire the right publishing experts who will bring your book to fruition. And if you're bold enough, have your book published through The Foundation. Whether you're male or female, your story matters. Now get it out there! Announcing Our Fundraising Initiative for The Conscious Black Conservative TV Series. What would you give to see the Conscious Black Conservative message become mainstream in America? What would you give to see the faces of your empowering Black Conservatives on television? What would you give to hear more messages that break down the racial barriers between Black voters and Conservatives?
Hold that number in mind as I share this amazing journey we are about to take. Over the last few months, I and other authentic Black Conservatives have used our voices to preach a message that empowers Black voters. You've watched as we taught social, political, and economic conservatism. You observed as we tore down the racial stereotypes pushed by mainstream conservative pundits. And you listened as we urged fellow Conservatives to adopt a new method for effective outreach. Now that we have made significant strides in changing the conservative political landscape on behalf of Black voters (via social media), we are ready to take our message to mainstream Black audiences. We want to see our message openly discussed through a new television show focused on Conscious Black Conservatism. And our target network for broadcasting this show is the newly launched Black News Channel. The mission of the Black News Channel is to:
And we are confident that such a network will fully embrace our idea. But we need your help. Over the next few months, we are launching an aggressive campaign to raise $25,000 to kickstart this venture. The funds we raise will be used to:
Every month, we will set a financial milestone that will help us reach our overall goal. And as each week goes by, we will immediately put the funds to work while keeping you aware of our progress (via email and Twitter Class). Our television series will specifically target Millennials, Generation Z, and Generation X. We will not use our newfound mainstream platform to shame Generation Black Boomers for their allegiance to the Democratic Party. We recognize what our ancestors and family members did to ensure our generation had the opportunities we experience today. We bless them, and we honor them for their fight. But now a new generation is prepared to "bring home that check" by delivering a message of Conscious Black Conservatism to the masses. A new generation is here, one with a growing desire to see something more than Civil Rights Era politics. This new breed is focused on creating social, political, and economic empires for the next 100 years. And with your help and ongoing contributions, we will make this happen! We will see a shift in the way Black voters engage in the political discourse. And we will normalize the conscious conservative message within our communities via mainstream black media.
