Effective Black Outreach: What's the #1 Winning Strategy That Will Appeal to Black Women's Conservatism?

This week, we will take a look at our efforts to bring the empowering conservative message to Black women this next round.

As you already know, Black Outreach to Black men proved most successful when we focused on conservatism’s ability to protect their growing economics.

Presenting a message to them based on financial success secured a conservative victory in Georgia, and the same message will secure a conservative victory in 2024 nationwide.

Now that we have solid proof validating our outreach work, it’s time to consider how conservative politics can be sold to Black women.

Often times, when addressing political issues, people question if politics should be tailored to various demographics.

The answer is a resounding yes.

Without question, women view politics differently than men.

And when it comes to Black women, who are often labeled the “backbone” of the Democrat Party, we must consider effective strategies that appeal to Black women who are disenchanted with their traditional Party.

In my recent book, How We Did It, I shared a discussion I had with Sonnie Johnson to analyze what Black women desire most when it comes to politics.

​During our chat, she highlighted why Black women are more conservative and moderate in our beliefs; yet despite these value systems, the vast majority of eligible and registered Black female voters align with the Democrat Party.

Sonnie Johnson summarized it like this: Black women will not tolerate the Right’s disrespect towards Black men. But they will follow their Black husbands wherever they go.

In other words, if Black men, whom we consider leaders in our communities, decide to align with conservative politics, conservative Black women will follow. Yes, we trust our men — the ones who are building, providing, and protecting — that much.

After the CCM’s successful political campaign and outreach in Georgia, news outlets highlighted an important shift among Black women. These findings were also added to my newest book:

In a recent CCN article – “Anatomy of a close election: How Americans voted in 2022 vs. 2018: Early exit polls show women and voters of color shifted toward the GOP” – analysts compared the 2018 exit polls with that of 2022. For every political strategist focused on Black Outreach, the following numbers prove significant.

Looking closely, you will see, overall Black women’s support for the Democrat Party dropped 7 points from 2018 to 2022. In comparison, Black men’s support for the Democrat Party dropped 11 points in the same political cycle.

These numbers are the direct result of several factors: Black voters are increasingly discontented with the Democrat Party; Black voters are open to political competition; Black voters are demanding specific, political tangibles that help their communities (i.e. reparations); Black voters are concerned with the same issues as other Americans, especially the economy and crime.

Given the data I presented to the GOP since 2016 – in addition to the strong rebukes Sonnie Johnson delivered for over a decade – the Republican Party had ample time to make adjustments and investments in strategic Black Outreach.

Yet, the Party refused, arguing financial investments were best spent in Latino voters.

Not willing to accept such feckless, racist, and nonsensical excuses, I decided to take over Black Outreach on the Right via the Conscious Conservative Movement.

And the more publicity I received as more results emerged, the more Black voters discovered they, too, could have representation on the Right.

These positive numbers are the result of the CCM’s work, not the GOP. And I made it a point to tell millions of Conservatives, especially on FOX, that the Republican Party will NOT receive credit for the work we put in. -- Felecia Killings, How We Did It

Among the top conservative solutions attracting Black women was school choice, especially homeschooling.

According to recent reports, in early 2020, roughly 3% of Black parents participated in homeschooling. But by Fall 2020, more than 16% reported homeschooling their children.

Given the destruction found in our Progressive schools, one may wonder why more Black parents were not adopting school choice as an option prior to 2020.

The truth: Because Democrats sold Black families lies about school choice or homeschooling, namely:

• It's racist
• It's a part of White Supremacy
• It's only for rich White families
• It removes funding from public schools, which hurts Black students who need more resources

The list goes on and on.

These Progressive talking points did nothing to solve the problems in these public schools. In fact, many of them exacerbated the issues because Black parents weren't given options to see a better pathway ...

... until the Pandemic hit.

In one of Napoleon Hill's ground-breaking books, Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, he writes, "Every adversity has the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit for those who have PMA. Sometimes the things that seem to be adversities turn out to be opportunities in disguise."

And without question, the Pandemic provided a "seed of a greater benefit" to Black parents who desperately wanted better options for their children.

While being forced to embrace homeschool training or online learning, many parents discovered newfound confidence to deliver to their children what they wanted from their Progressive schools.

As a result: 16% of Black families now know the power of homeschooling.

And at The Felecia Killings Foundation, we want to see these numbers increase as we put together our plans to use school choice as a method to bridge the gap between Black voters and Conservatives.

In 2024, as we continue our effective Black Outreach efforts in Georgia, we will aggressively sell school choice as an option to Black mothers who want better options for their children.

In addition, our outreach efforts will include training sessions that help Black parents establish group homeschool programs; in addition, we will teach Black parents how to practice group economics to secure funding to finance these educational ventures.

Providing access to these communities is the key to increasing the conservative tent. And as my CCM team and I make strides to bridge this gap, we will share our results with you so you implement the same strategies in your areas.

And we will complete this mission by equipping a new breed of Conscious Conservative Leaders who are not afraid to engage in Black communities nationwide.

The Conscious Conservative Movement is comprised of men and women from across the nation who are bringing the empowering message to their communities. Our grassroots work has successfully helped thousands of citizens understand the benefits of conservative politics, which helps increase support for conservative candidates running in various elections.

Our CCM leaders will host local chapters, provide engaging insight regarding today's politics, and show Black voters why now's the time to secure political tangibles using conservative politics.
