Why Progressives' Push for "Racial Equity" Comes with More Death, Poverty, and Destruction

It's not often I bring other guest writers to the Beloved E-Mail Class or my main blog.

I'm strict about the content I re-publish, because I don't always trust folks on the Right to deliver accurate insight.

But when I see fellow Black Conservatives putting in the work to educate the base on what's happening in Black communities, I have to share.

Earlier this morning, Nicole Pinkston, my media manager for the Conscious Conservative Media Network, dropped a FIRE article inside her channel.

She discussed the recent "investment" the Biden-Harris administration made into minority communities as a way of providing "racial equity."

Now, before Conservatives start whining over the race talk again, understand why it's important to address "racial equity."

Remember how I told you repeatedly, "Progressivism is NOT charity. It is oppression."

When you study Black History, you see how government systemically oppressed Black Americans. Such racist policies often emerged at the hands of Democrat/Progressive leaders.

(I will address Republicans' hand in the oppression another day.)

As such, today's Democrat leaders are "attempting" to "rectify" these racial inequalities by redistributing "racial equity" or ownership in the form of equal opportunities for Black Americans.

But look how they're delivering this "equity" to Black Americans:

  • Not with reparations for Jim Crow oppression
  • Not with easy access to business capital
  • Not with reduced taxation on our Black Wealth

No, they are providing "equity" or ownership access to MORE DRUG USAGE.

We couldn't make up this current moment, even if we tried.

But I want to let Nicole give you more perspective. Her article provides other sources to help you better understand the current political climate and why now continues to be the perfect opportunity for Conservatives to sell "racial equity" in the form of:

  • authentic conservatism
  • wealth
  • home ownership
  • school choice
  • and more conservative solutions

"It's the Racial Equity for me," by Nicole Pinkston

I had to think long and hard yesterday at how I would word what I am about to say. Because the right doesn't do enough to address the problems that ail America, no more than the left does. But, what Republicans will do is dunk on the Democrats' answer to things because their answers are always bad. Yet, the Republicans do not do more to give us conservative answers for issues. They sit back and react to everything the left does. It is a frustrating political dichotomy we have here. I digress.

The Biden Administration has a grant program for these drug enabling centers that are ran by nonprofits that are set up to supposedly get drug addicts clean. These nonprofits asked for the grants to help provide cleaner locations like the heroine needle sites that exist in California:
Bill to legalize safe injection sites for drug users passes California Senate - State of Reform | State of Reform

Apparently, HIV is on the rise because the unsanitary way users do drugs and it's infecting the local populations.

Now, the drug treatment center ideas are not new. Both the left and the right have had to deal with the residual effects of America's failed War on Drugs which has led to overdosing, crime and homeless issues. Neither side has found an effective way, because both use the gov't. And what do we say, "Progressivism is NOT Charity".

So, this happened : GOP outraged at $30m Biden plan to fund ‘crack pipe distribution’ in effort to reduce drug harm (yahoo.com)

I picked that article out of the many because it is the media framing where the politics comes in. Today's, media is framing this as the GOP having a problem with the effort to reduce drug harm. NO buddy! You do not get to skip over the main point!

The original media article floating around Biden Admin To Fund Crack Pipe Distribution To Advance ‘Racial Equity’ (freebeacon.com) suggests that Biden is doing it to advance 'Racial Equity'........

What? Pause. Stop the train.

It isn't that Republicans do not care to do things that will reduce drug harm (We can talk about if giving addicts drugs helps them later) but how in the world does distributing crack pipes created Racial Equity? Oh Lord!

When I first saw this article and the accompanying tweets that phrase 'Racial Equity' just keep bothering me.

Now, people immediately came in my mentions to tell me about the reasoning and thought process of such a crack distribution idea. Not one liberal explained to me how in every loving way, is crack distribution about race. The Gov't idea of racial equity is to give Black people paraphernalia? What timeline am I in, is this the 1980s?

It is the 'Racial Equity' for me.

I understood racial equity to mean better outcomes for every race. Coach Felecia Killings posted this link in her Twitter Class that defines the term What is Racial Equity? | Race Forward

Is giving out crack pipes a solution to the disparities between American races? I don't think so. The use of drugs is a multiracial problem.

Wouldn't racial equity be: Releasing people for nonviolent drug crimes or paying people money back that was seized by Uncle Sam for crack pipes that they now want to distribute? It doesn't seem equitable to me that Uncle Sam can do what citizens are in jail for or are being arrested for AND I DON'T CARE THEY LABEL IT SOMETHING GOOD.

The Gov't is about to distribute drug paraphernalia while people have family wasting away in prison for the same thing. We know the inequitable prison system. We know the inequitable crack era. We know the inequitable government.

As we continually say on this network, Progressivism is NOT charity. Republicans, conservatives, libertarians or basically anyone who wants limited government just got a national example of why Big government is bad. And it is atrocious.

But Mrs Pinky, hasn't the government been doing these drug sites for years? Hasn't this been a thing already to help people get off drugs? Why don't you want a solution to a problem?

Something being done by government for years doesn't make it okay. But how dare the Democrats use crack pipe distribution as some form of Equity? Are they giving out free lean cups, meth spoons or cocaine straws? Like, what is this? After crack has decimated communities nationwide, this is the best the Government can do AS RACIAL EQUITY?

Lord help us.

I took a break from Twitter because I need time away from the people that, as Sonnie Johnson says, knee pad for Uncle Sam. One person said, "Well, we got 2 million in money under the program".  Really? You sell out your people for 2 million when we have a 2 trillion Dollar purchasing power.

We are not the same.

I try to be as flexible as I can hearing people of all sides but sometimes lines have to be drawn in the sand. We have to stop making excuses for the left. And I NEVER see these same individuals show up to defend the right. They only pop out like I sent the Bat signal for them to appear because I dare say something negative about Biden.

Black Democrats get me. You got nothing and you are still sucking off the administration that didn't give it to you. Do we need to keep posting the dancing video to mock you? Where is your pride?

Biden-Harris Administration, yes, I added her because she should've said something, did not do the George Floyd Policing Act, did not erase student debt and did not pay out reparations. What it did was create a pathway to citizenship for illegals and give out AAPI funds? No tangibles for all the shucking in Jiving in 2021 over a win! Come on now.

When I think of Racial Equity, I think of wealth. I think of safer communities for my kids. I think of better schools and school choice. I think of criminal justice reform. I think of the government getting its hands out of my wallet. Racial Equity to me is about empowerment not oppression. It isn't about helping me in my addiction. It isn't keeping loved ones locked up. It is about uplifting; you know something positive.

I had to say something but not on Twitter where 180 characters doesn't allow me the nuance to discuss just how tired, exhausted I am. This organization provides Conservatives a better way to do things and we have an opportune time to show up in Black populated areas with better than, here's a crack pipe for that addiction. Never mind the mental health services, the rehabilitation or the anti-homelessness help, not here's a pipe.

We can do better. We have to build ourselves because fecklessness on both sides won't do it. We have to show up at the local and show voters how to leverage both sides and put a foot up the backside of these politicians.

The government doesn't care about equity. It cares about its own power. And until people get that through their heads that they have to be the ones to consistently come up with solutions and fight for them, Progressivism will win.

I am frustrated because we have so much work to do. But we can do it if we build alliances and use conservative principles to do it. Conservatives should respond, not just with mocking but with a solution; something better.
