About the Author

Dennis James Perkins is a native of Yazoo City, Mississippi. Upon graduating from Yazoo City High School, he attended Jackson State University, where he became a member of the Sonic Boom of the South Marching Band.
After completion of an undergraduate degree in business administration, Dennis later pursued his master’s degree in community and agency counseling.
Throughout his adult life, he has primarily worked directly in areas involving children and youth from ages three to seventeen years old. As the years progressed, these experiences culminated in statewide positions where he had program oversight of various programs that gave assistance to vulnerable families and troubled youth.
It would be years before he would discover a closer walk with the Lord. Upon meeting Deborah, his wife of twenty-eight years, a whirlwind of change took place in his spiritual life which led him to acknowledge, more importantly, his spiritual calling into the ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through years of serving in several capacities within the local church’s various ministries, Dennis and his wife, Deborah, were viewed as a team ministry by those who knew them best. From greeting at the front door of the church, to working in children’s church; hospital ministry, prayer, and other forms of outreach ministry, serving the Lord through serving his people became paramount to their relevance and existence. Love is God’s mandate within the context of their service to one another in the body of Christ.
Dennis is currently serving in ministry as directed by the Lord while attending Freedom Ministries Int’l Church in Jackson, Mississippi.

"It is without question, Everlasting Love is the perfect resource for Bible study groups that focus on marriage." - Felecia Killings
So often, we hear stories of true love and romance; and we ask ourselves, “Could such a love truly exist in today’s time?” Many people fantasize about love and marriage. But too few experience such relationships that only death can separate.
In this beautifully crafted book, Everlasting Love, Dennis Perkins chronicles his story of being married to a woman whose presence transformed his life. From the moment they met, he is instantly captivated by her inner and external beauty. And while his love for her is immediate, she does not respond as expected. But this does not stop him from pursuing the wife God has for him.
Through numerous encounters and bothersome setbacks, Dennis and Deborah prove that when God purposes for two people to become one, true love always prevails.
After reading this remarkable story, I am reminded of Yeshua’s love for the Body of Christ. Paul teaches us that a husband’s love will “wash and cleanse” his wife; and as you read this book, you find yourself witnessing Dennis’ great love for Deborah until the day of her passing.
If you are a movie fan, you will find this remarkable story akin to Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook. The lessons learned in this book are ones that will empower you to see love as a force no man can destroy.
Of the many lessons in this story, you will discover that unconditional love cannot be manufactured. No man can teach you how to love this deeply. Unconditional love is instant and eternal. And when hardships arise, this love proves unbreakable.
It is without question, Everlasting Love is the perfect resource for Bible study groups that focus on marriage. Young couples can learn numerous lessons from this story, including learning to serve one another, being humble, and sticking together through life’s most difficult hardships.
This book will also minister to young couples entering ministry. At times, ministry can be a major stumbling block to marriages. The key to a couple’s success lies in their total commitment to YahWeh, their marriage, and their ministry’s future. When put in this perspective, it solidifies the belief I have that one’s primary ministry is first in the home. And through this extraordinary story, young couples will learn to prioritize their marriage above all else.
I am happy to recommend this book to my Beloved audience as well as other viewers. Without question, more churches need to see “Abraham and Sarah” type of marriages in their local assemblies. Such openness and transparency give hope to young couples who struggle with navigating through their own personal hardships. And I am confident this love story will save marriages by giving hope to those who struggle to believe in such a wondrous life experience.
I am grateful to Dennis Perkins for sharing his story with me and the world; and I am confident you will not be disappointed with this purchase.
