Felecia's Award-Winning Lessons Will Teach You How to Use the Self-Publishing Industry to Launch Your Social, Political & Economic Empire
Welcome to another Empowering Post. I am Felecia Killings, the Founder of The Foundation. Our mission is to help Beloveds like you use the online space to create businesses or ministries around your authorship.
Each week, we share FREE lessons with rising leaders, writers, and speakers to help them get started on their journey. And we deliver advanced training to those who need direct assistance with constructing their books.
At The Felecia Killings Foundation, we spend extensive time discussing the systems that are used to build a thriving business or ministry.
But we don't often talk about the "elephant in the room" when it comes to this work: How much money can self-published authors make?
In my experience, several new authors shrink from the idea of making a sizable income with their authorship. In fact, some critics chastised me for teaching writerpreneurs how to generate wealth using their gifts.
I wrote an e-book on this subject, Wealth and the Believer, which teaches my readers that to not make any money with their work is foolish. So, if you're of the fold who despises wealth, this lesson won't benefit you.
But if you're a forward-thinking writerpreneur, generating wealth is absolutely attainable. In fact, you can't have a sustainable business without revenue.
And the way you make this possible is by creating multiple streams of income and pricing your services or products appropriately. These products and services must correlate with your author's brand and message. And the more creative you are in developing new offerings, the more income you can generate.
When beginning this journey, quite often new writerpreneurs fear over-charging their services. Most of them undercut their fees or book prices instead of considering how best to position themselves in the market.
So, for today's Empowering Post, I want to share with you how I developed several income streams and how our pricing system reflects our business's long-term financial goals.
I will teach you why value is the important factor when it comes to pricing. In addition, you must also understand your ideal market and what they are willing to sacrifice for your offer.
By the end of this teaching, I hope you're inspired to think largely about your authorship. The only limits you have in terms of making money as an author is that which you establish in your mind.
So, without delay, let's get straight into this teaching.
Why Brand Partnerships are One of the Best, Creative Book Marketing Ideas for Self-Published Authors
Welcome to another Empowering Post. I am Felecia Killings, the Founder and CEO of The Foundation. Our mission is to help Beloveds like you create online businesses and virtual ministries around your authorship.
Since 2011, I have worked as a writing coach and ministry strategist to new, aspiring, and seasoned authors and speakers, sharing with them advanced lessons on constructing books that bring healing to others.
And each week, I share FREE lessons on the main blog that help you get started on your self-publishing journey.
I want to begin today's empowering post with this question: What do you feel is the biggest challenge to your authorship in terms of marketing?
We both know the need to create an effective marketing plan, one that will enable us to sell our books and products with our audience. But for many self-publishing authors, generating ongoing sales is one of the biggest obstacles.
In today's post, I want to spend some time on this topic, and by the end of the lesson, you will have some strategies to help you create a more effective marketing plan.
Just recently, I started re-organizing a portion of my marketing plan. Not only have I added content marketing to it, but also another strategy that I believe will be the key to propelling my business and widening my audience.
I’m talking about establishing brand partnerships, ones that will allow me to connect with influencers from across the nation. I first discovered this as a powerful marketing tool when I came across Navid Moazzez, a virtual summit expert, who uses his skills to help entrepreneurs generate larger audiences.
Recognizing that we all have the power to help each other prosper, he and other virtual summit leaders work towards creating empowering events that transform lives.
I share this same desire, mostly to empower authors like you, and have made the choice to use brand partnerships to enhance your learning experience while expanding my brand and business. As I typically do with all my posts, I will use my own story to show you how you can employ this same strategy as a new author.
And if you're willing to make partnerships integral to your platform, you will see it grow exponentially.
So, let's dive into this teaching.
Welcome to another Empowering Post where we share powerful lessons that help you build a business or ministry around your authorship.
If you are new to The Felecia Killings Foundation, let me briefly introduce myself.
I am Felecia Killings, the Founder and CEO. Our mission is to help Beloveds like you engage in this end-time revival and national reformation using the written and spoken word.
Since 2011, I have worked as a writing coach and ministry strategist to new, aspiring, and seasoned authors and speakers, sharing with them advanced lessons on building a powerful virtual work that will change the world.
Such endeavors include publishing books, launching online courses, starting online churches, and more. By leveraging the virtual space, authors can reach millions with their message.
In today's post, I want to discuss what I feel is an often-neglected strategy among self-publishing authors. But before I do that, I want to create a couple of scenarios for you.
After reading each one, I want you to answer this question: Of the two authors, from which one would you be more willing to purchase, and why?
Here's the story.
Two authors were scheduled to release their books on the same day. They had a similar message to share with readers, focusing on a topic that would help their ideal audience master a skill.
For six months, both writers spent quality time constructing their masterpiece, and each one hired the best editor for their work. Everything about both writers was nearly the same, except for this one thing.
At the start of constructing her book, the first writer, Lynn, began telling people about her project. She created several blog posts while working on her manuscript. She held webinar sessions to share her content with her ideal reader. She visited local libraries to see about hosting her launch event, in which she hoped to meet 25 of her loyal fans.
Lynn took great care to build momentum before launching her book.
The second writer, Joyce, however, found Lynn’s efforts to be a waste of time, and certainly not something worth doing because her book needed to be finished. Plus, Joyce felt that anything extra would cost her more money, of which she was unwilling to invest.
Lynn, on the other hand, realizing that while she would have to invest more time and money into promoting her work before it was finished, felt that it was crucial for her book’s success.
After six months of spending countless hours on their books, both authors finally released it for mass publication.
Welcome to another Empowering Post, where I teach you valuable, actionable lessons that will help you launch your career.
I'm Felecia Killings, and I've worked with new self-publishing authors since 2011.
I'm deeply committed to helping you discover your purpose for your virtual ministry or online business, and I provide the training solutions that enable you to make your vision a reality.
With every FREE lesson I publish, I want to give you different strategies that you can implement immediately.
Building a thriving authorship, as new as it may be, is much more complex than what many people realize.
Therefore, it's my mission to make your journey easier to understand and manage.
In today's post, I want to teach you how to properly invest in your authorship.
There are many entrepreneurs, vying for your attention and money, which may be overwhelming to you.
Many "gurus" promise to deliver powerful results if you hire them; and some of them can actually deliver.
But when there are so many experts from which to choose, it can be daunting and outright frustrating, especially because you don't want your resources (time and money) to be wasted.
So, what I want to do today is give you the five, must-have investment tips for your new self-publishing career. I'll also share with you why these elements are important, and how I have used them to help me move forward in my work.
More specifically, this lesson will teach you about:
So, grab your notepad and pen, and let's get started.
Welcome to another Empowering Post where we share powerful lessons that help you get started as a new self-publishing author.
I am Felecia Killings, Founder and CEO of The Foundation, and our mission is to equip you for your new writing career or ministry using advanced lessons based on effective writerpreneurship.
Over the last few years, I've helped new authors (and now upcoming speakers and Conservative leaders) craft powerful books that bring healing and deliverance to others.
I've taught my clients and students the power of using their stories as a method of empowering other people who have gone through similar experiences.
Not only do I provide assistance in helping them construct their own books, but I also equip them to launch their own ministries or businesses using the virtual or online space.
This includes providing teachings on best practices for marketing their works as self-published authors; setting up their social media platforms for building a fan base; creating multiple streams of income for their venture, and much more.
This is the essence of writerpreneurship: taking online entrepreneurial strategies and applying them to one's authorship.
In all, building a virtual business or ministry extends beyond simply writing a book or securing a couple of speaking gigs.
It's about creating a structure that brings immense value to the market; and you, my Beloved, have the power to do the same thing if you are willing to learn the spiritual and technical skills required to succeed as a writerpreneur.
That, in essence, is where my virtual ministry and online business come in.
Now, for today's teaching, I want to help you develop a strategy for building your virtual ministry while still working for another company.
Not every person is able to commit to their ministry or business full-time at the beginning, but it doesn't mean that one's work has to sit on the sidelines.
So, I want to share some tips with you today, because the only way your work will grow is when you are ready to sacrifice some things to make it happen.
Welcome to this Empowering Post.
For today's teaching, I want to share with you simple steps that will help you develop your inspirational book that will crush it in the market.
There are many writers today who have a message of hope and inspiration for others. While some works are phenomenal, there are others, especially in the self-publishing industry, that are sub-par simply because of the poor writing and lack of editing.
While to some people, these technical issues may not matter, I want to highlight some useful tips to those who are looking to create successful, inspirational works. As you grow in your writing ministry, you'll discover how important it is to present a professional, empowering product so your audience becomes addicted to your work.
This is a lesson I teach to all my scholars inside LiyahAmore University, and I know this will help you as well.
So, let’s begin!
Welcome to The Felecia Killings Foundation where we empower Beloveds like you to use your stories to bring deliverance and healing to others.

For today's teaching, I want to give you the building blocks for launching your work in the near future.
If you stick around The Foundation long enough, you'll discover a powerful network of self-publishing authors who are transforming lives using their stories.
For many people, we long to use our gifts and talents to inspire others; but often times, we withhold our contributions because we lack the spiritual and technical training to make our works a success.
So, in today's Empowering Post, I want to share with you the 6 pillars that have helped this virtual empire (and that of my scholars) grow exponentially. More specifically, I will teach you about:
Whether you are a new or aspiring author, or if you have a book already published, you will find this teaching truly powerful.
So, let's get straight to it!

I am Felecia Killings, Founder and CEO of The Felecia Killings Foundation. Our mission is to help people like you create a business, ministry, or movement around your authorship using best practices that ensure your success.
Each week, I share a FREE lesson on the site that gives you knowledge about writerpreneurship. And for today's teaching, I want to focus on the power of working with a skilled mentor or writing coach as you press forward on this journey.
Today's lesson is a special one. I have a featured guest who I want to introduce to you. Valerie McDowell is a fellow writing coach in this industry, and her years in the market have given her keen insight into the publishing world. By the end of this lesson, you will learn more about her work and how she can help you manifest your dream of becoming a published author this year.
So, without delay, let's jump into this teaching. You will learn what it means to have a mentor or coach and the four benefits that come to writerpreneurs who employ this best practice.
Welcome to another Empowering Post for self-publishing authors and writerpreneurs.
I am Felecia Killings, award-winning coach and Founder of The Foundation. Our mission is to empower you for effective work as a new author and speaker, helping you build a business or ministry around your authorship.
Each week, I share a FREE empowering lesson that helps you better understand the science behind your new career as a professional author or speaker. These teachings pull directly from our award-winning online school, LiyahAmore University.
And each lesson provides you a small taste of what you can experience when you become an official scholar.
For today's lesson, I want to touch upon a crucial element in the self-publishing industry. Quite often, when new writers enter the field, they jump into this venture head-first. They construct their manuscript without real guidance; and they fail to consider important factors that can help them avoid costly mistakes in the near future.
One of the most crucial elements includes finding the right editor for your manuscript. It's important to know that not all editors and proofreaders are the same. Some are skilled in certain areas, and within The Felecia Killings Foundation, we've worked to connect you with experts who specialize in the self-help, Christian publishing industry.
This leads me into my special announcement for today. This week, my featured guest expert is Leanne Wickham. She is a professional copy editor and proofreader stationed in New Zealand. And she has recently partnered with our brand to bring you the best editing services in the market.
Towards the end of this lesson, you will have a chance to connect with her directly for all your editing needs; and as you will come to learn in this Empowering Post, having the right editor on your self-publishing team will make all the difference in the world.
So, without further delay, let's spend some time discussing the importance of hiring the right editor. In this lesson, I will teach you to know the difference between various editorial services and how each phase works to help you produce a polished product.
Now, let's get started!

I'm Felecia Killings, the Founder of LiyahAmore University, and it's my mission to give you the kind of support that you need to launch your vision this year.
For today's post, I want to continue with my teaching on various strategies that you can use to be most productive as a new Christian Author.
As I share in other lessons, being productive means employing multiple time-management strategies to your creative efforts so that you yield profound results.
Being most productive also means conditioning your mind to establish positive work habits, which form the basis for how you manage your ministry each day.
And with today's teaching, I want to discuss the power of setting clear goals for your work.
I'm not talking about establishing random goals, either.
Instead, I want to dive into what it means to set SMART goals.
This is one of the main lessons that I teach my students in my online school, and it has truly helped them to map out their ministry for the long run.
So, grab your notepad and pen, and let's spend some time discussing what it means to set SMART goals and how you can begin this productive strategy today.

"[My projects] would not be possible without the expertise of Felecia Killings, my writing coach, content editor, proofreader, and friend. Her professional skills have catapulted my writing ability in more ways than I can express. In 2016, she helped me complete The Space Between Memories and walked with me through The Mind of a Missionary as well. She helped consolidate my initial thoughts into this broad narrative of the missions endeavor...For that, I am very grateful."
- David Joannes
"Felecia has always been an award-winning coach. She taught me to stand up in my truth and to be okay with it. She didn't judge me. I will never forget the love and nurture that she extended to me over the years. All that she taught me is what I do in my business/ministry, sharing the same love to others to seek all that God has intended for them, according to His purpose."
- Tschanna Taylor, Best-Selling Author, Speaker & Life Coach
"I was blessed to be able to work with Felecia Killings. She was able to take my manuscript and transform it to a whole new level. She caused me to dig within myself as a writer and communicator of the message I was to convey. She is extremely professional, courteous, and timely. - Bessie Scoggins
"Felecia is very talented and has several qualities that a new writer can benefit from. She has excellent communication skills and a very sensitive and supportive approach to her training. What I love most about her teaching style is her ability to listen to what you want; then she immediately develops alternative approaches to improve your manuscript. I must say, the six-month journey of creating my manuscript went smoothly because of her support and assistance. I recommend Felecia without reservation."
- Mulu Afework
"I've worked with Felecia on two projects; she helped me with writing and editing my book. As an author, finding the right editor is very important. I had my book edited by someone who didn't do my book justice. But once Felecia performed the edits, the story flowed better than I'd image. I had found the right editor. Her skills are remarkable and I highly recommend her for any project you may have, big or small. As a writing coach, I wanted to take my business to the next level. Seeking out Coach Felecia was the best decision I made. She encouraged me to develop an online school, which I'm in the process of doing. She helped me create the curriculum, identify my audience, and provided me with the tools to succeed. If you need a coach to push you to the next level, Felecia is the person. She knows her stuff."
- Paulette Harper
"I want to thank my writing coach, editor, and publisher, Felecia Killings, for her coaching style and writing skills. Felecia stayed with me throughout the entire project. She heard and understood my heart in every word written. Her encouragement was priceless but not free. Every dollar spent was well worth it! Thank you for the skills that I learned in writing this project and the projects to come."
- Betty Short-Sams
