The Foundation's Leadership Guides
Empowering lessons that teach rising leaders about the 10 spiritual laws of Conscious Conservatism and how to use them in the social, political, and economic spheres
Content Marketing: The Only Way to Effectively Market in Today’s Digital AgeLet’s begin this lesson with a foundation for effective marketing.
I don’t want you thinking about book promotion as a tedious task. Instead, I want you to see how the right marketing can actually be enjoyable, rewarding, and profitable. To accomplish this, however, you must engage in what the online business space calls “content marketing.” Simply put, content marketing is the creation of digital marketing materials that help sell a paid product or service. There are numerous types of content marketing strategies such as video marketing, blogging, podcasting, and interviews. You can create webinars, virtual summits, online Bible studies, and more. Using these media, you deliver engaging, entertaining, and enlightening materials to a specific audience. And through that delivery, you seamlessly interject your paid product or service.

Establishing Thought Leadership means accepting all the challenges that come with the territory. And sometimes that requires a separation between you and family members as you pursue your purpose." - Coach Felecia Killings Greetings Beloved,I have been on this entrepreneurial journey for several years now. My political work now spans 7+ years.
It certainly wasn’t something I wanted to do. Growing up, we were a traditional, middle-class Black family who relied on our education to help us secure solid work. Middle-class upbringing was the norm; and as such, it seemed only fitting that I carry on this economic tradition that has worked for so many decades. After enduring my long battle with the courts, I found myself trapped between my love for teaching and my fear of re-entering the public school system. I needed work, though, especially because I had a daughter to raise on my own after my failed marriage. But the publicity surrounding my case made it difficult for me to acquire or maintain even the simplest teaching positions. My family and friends “encouraged” me to continue putting myself out there to find “real work.” Some family members repeatedly told me, “All you need is one yes.” But with each rejection, I grew frustrated while my resources depleted. I realized in that moment I had spent so much energy trying to ask other people for permission to be great when all I needed to do was give myself that permission. How Creating Effective SMART Goals for Your Leadership Platform Can Maximize Your Productivity5/16/2024 Back in 2015, I hit a road block in my business and ministry.I wasn't attracting as many quality clients as I wanted, and I started to feel like I was wasting my time in this venture.
Because I didn't know what to do or how to help my situation, I started looking for traditional jobs to generate income. In other words, I was looking to end my writing business and going back into teaching, but at the career college level. So, I did just that. I was hired to work as a Professional Development Instructor at a small college. And while it provided a little income for me and my daughter, it didn't satisfy what I truly wanted internally: my own business and ministry. Needless to say, my time at the career college was short. And to be honest, I was grateful for that, because it pushed me to try my hand again at making my writing ministry a success. Teaching Conservative Political Leaders How to Handle Smear Campaigns with Poise and Power5/15/2024 Politics is brutal. It's bloody.
And if you desire to launch your work in this space, be ready to deal with an onslaught of chaos designed to annihilate you and your purpose. For today's Empowering Post, I want to teach you how to handle smear campaigns with poise and power, especially if you feel called to operate in the political sphere. As a new leader, you will inevitably experience at least one campaign designed to destroy you and your work. Smear campaigns are typically "effective" tools used to persuade the general public to "disown" you. These campaigns rest under the "cancel culture" umbrella. And no matter how much good you do, smear campaigns will often thwart your progress ... unless you learn how to finesse them. In this lesson, I will teach you the history of political smear campaigns and the 5 steps you can take to combat them when they rise against you. More specifically, you can rise above smear campaigns when you:
As you will come to learn, persecution can produce power. But to be in this invincible position, you must learn to flex using Kingdom laws and spiritual principles. Now, let's get into this teaching. For today’s teaching, I want to show you different methods for monetizing your new leadership platform.Current data prove the virtual market is vast, and those who make themselves ready right now can secure new economic opportunities in the near future.
As you consider this option for yourself and your social unit, I highly recommend working with an online business coach to get you on the right path. Now, without further delay, let’s jump into this teaching. In this new Empowering Post, I'll share 10 different strategies that will help you develop the mindset to launch a successful leadership platform. These are tips used by the most prosperous entrepreneurs and authors today.
By putting them into practice for your own venture, you will see tremendous results this year. So, without delay, let's get started. In 2016, I was laid off from my college teaching position because the school didn’t have enough students enrolled for the following semester, at least not for my class. This was a huge hit to me, because I was initially “promised” a full-time teaching position when I was hired.
But circumstances made that impossible. This layoff hurt me a little more than a previous one, because I had just moved my daughter and I to Elk Grove, CA, far away from family and friends. My first inclination was to panic and run back home with my tail between my legs. But I made the decision to stay, because I strongly believed God had brought me to that area for a reason. At that time, I told myself (and the Lord) that I was ready to commit to my work of ministry full-time. I promised Him as long as He took care of me and Aaliyah, I would do His work and I would complete it in a spirit of excellence. And so I did. Now, at the time, I did what many new Thought Leaders and Ministers do. I assumed because I said “Yes” to the call, then I would automatically receive financial blessings to make this journey easier. But that didn’t happen. What I soon learned in 2016 was I needed preparation for this great work, just in the same manner I had to prepare to become a teacher. And that’s when my spiritual and practical training in building an online business, virtual ministry, and political platform began. Fast forward today, I can see just how much I have grown in wisdom and knowledge. I can see the evidence of that direct training, and now this work reaches millions of people online. And it’s still growing. When the Lord came to me and made this request, He gave me the vision for it and promised to reward me heftily for my service. That promise was too great to ignore. But in order to see it come to pass, I had to sow diligently into my virtual platform. That included constructing effective content (blog posts, social media posts, videos) that ministered directly to my audience, even when no one knew who I was. Now, in the beginning, nothing happened for me. I started building my virtual ministry by engaging more on Facebook. On my personal page, I talked about book publishing, knowing the Holy Spirit, and empowering women. I also started a virtual Bible study with my small audience, even when I had no clear idea as to how it would be received. My virtual discussions took off when I shared my conservative political views. And that one area lit a fire in my virtual presence, because since then, my following has grown quickly. As I continued to do what I felt led by the Spirit to do, I didn’t witness a massive financial harvest. Yes, the Lord helped me meet my basic needs and some of my desires, but it wasn’t to the extent that He showed me in the vision back in 2016-2017. And because the money was not flowing as much as I thought it should, I often contemplated abandoning the mission. Each time those thoughts entered my mind, I noticed my productivity level decreasing. And when that happened, I noticed how unfulfilled I felt, not to mention my ministry began to slack off. I simply didn’t like that feeling. So, I put a guard around my mind, I reflected on the promise God made to me in exchange for doing His work, and then I resumed the mission. One of the main lessons the Lord taught me during this phase was the Law of Sowing and Reaping. Philosophers will also refer to this principle as the Law of Compensation, to which I will describe later. And it was this very lesson that helped me realize why long-term planning and persistent efforts will have far greater rewards in the future…if I faint not. In this lesson, I want to teach you about the importance of long-term planning. More specifically, this lesson will expound upon:
So, grab your note pad and pen, and let’s get into this teaching. Since 2011, I've worked with leaders to help them create online businesses, virtual ministries, and political platforms based on their God-given mission. Over the years, I also served as a writing coach and book-publishing specialist. But in 2016, my platform skyrocketed in the virtual space as I began sharing the message God called me to deliver.
Since that time, my voice and platform have reached the heights within conservative politics. My political Movement (the Conscious Conservative Movement) and its books became household names among Republicans and Conservatives. I accomplished this feat by simply bringing the Kingdom message to people who had not heard it before. And I used my hard story as a catalyst to bring an empowering message to millions online each year. But I did not reach these heights by luck or happenstance. I implemented best business practices for the online market, using these strategies to help me launch a dynamic virtual ministry. And through this work, I teach leaders like you core lessons to get you started on your journey. In this lesson, I want to teach you the values of starting a blog for your leadership platform. There are millions of articles that will deliver similar content. But with this training, I want to show you how to make your blog a national powerhouse. While new leaders often see blogging as an extension of their writing hobbies, I want you to take a different mindset. Your blog must be viewed as a business tool. It is your online real estate, and you are responsible for adding value to it by producing empowering, educational content that blesses your readers. By thinking of it from this perspective, readers will see you as an authority figure in the online space. And if you have a solid product (like a book) or a service (like a coaching program), your readers will buy from you because they trust you. In this lesson, you will learn about:
Now, let's get into this lesson! Very often, leaders, especially new ones, fail to realize the power they possess when they become a published authors. The time and resources that go into such work demonstrate something profound.
They become an expert. A Thought Leader. And anyone can manifest this greatness, including you, Beloved. As you create a book that will educate, minister, entertain, or uplift your readers, you will inevitably become an expert to your audience. According to merriam-webster.com, an expert is one who displays a specialized skill in something based on experience or training. Whether you realize it or not, once you construct a book on a given topic, you inevitably become an authority figure on it. And this can happen within the social, political, and economic spaces. Leadership Writing: the ability to construct powerfully persuasive content that moves readers from complainers to builders. - Coach Felecia Killings Back in 2011, I first began my publishing career by serving as an editor and writer for new authors. I helped dozens of authors craft their stories in compelling, concise ways; and as each one went through the publishing process, I celebrated their accomplishments with great enthusiasm.
Over time, however, I noticed my leader-clients struggled with reaching new readers, selling more books, or even finding speaking engagements. Add to it, some simply put their books to the side because they didn’t know how to leverage their products effectively. I could relate to their experience, because I went through the same struggle. I had recently published one of my first books; but because I didn’t understand the publishing landscape, I couldn’t achieve many of my goals. That’s when I began studying how other authors successfully navigated this playing field. I realized writers who became our Thought Leaders and influencers were those who treated their authorship as a business or ministry. In other words, such voices employed best business practices to their books; and coupled with their online dominance, they created their own opportunities. Now, as an author, I wanted to learn how I could implement these strategies into my own works; but in my search to find a coach who had mastered this, I came up short. That’s when I coined the term “Writerpreneur” and created an educational platform for God-focused leaders who had an empowering message that needed to reach millions of people. Today, when working with my clients, I teach them the importance of leadership writing and how to use this craft as a tool to market their ideas, build movements online, and attract opportunities within the social, political, and economic spheres. |
