A Mother's Cry ...
Late one evening, while engaging in Twitter Class, I saw my name tagged in a tweet from a single Black mother.
She desperately pleaded, "Felecia, can you help me by donating to my GoFundMe to get a house?" She was facing an eviction, had only a couple days to vacate, and all her resources were depleting. No one would contribute to her campaign, and she wanted an influencer's voice to help.
When I saw the tweet, my instant thought was, I don't even have a house of my own. How can I help another mother get one?
But I went to the Holy Spirit for an answer to this mother's need.
I responded publicly, "I don't have funds to contribute towards that effort. But I can give you a word. Tonight, whatever the Holy Spirit tells you to do, do it. No matter how strange the answer, obey His instructions."
She replied with gratitude and assured me she would obey.
A couple hours later, I reached out to her again by DM. I told her that while I couldn't contribute to her housing initiative, I would ask the Beloved Tribe to raise money to help with groceries.
I asked, "How much do you need this week to feed you and your babies?"
She replied, "Not much ... I guess $30-$40."
I then told her that I would put out the request and would connect with her again the following morning.
After presenting the call-to-action to the Beloved Tribe that night, we raised more than $250 via Twitter within hours. The next day, I asked the mother for her PayPal account, sent her $100, and told her, "The Lord always hears your prayers. Stay encouraged, Beloved."
I wanted this mother to know this truth: When you call upon the Lord, He will answer and provide more than what you ask. It's one of the reasons I sent her 3X what she requested, because we serve a God of more than enough.
Upon receiving the Grocery Blessing, she sent me this message: "I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! I am in tears! It's been looking bleak and this renewed my faith. Thank you so much!!"
Within weeks of this grocery blessing, Tasha and her children were in their new home. Our small grocery blessing gave her the faith to believe God for the impossible.
And over the course of four more months, we continued to send a grocery blessing to Tasha as she settled in her new dwellings.
Our Single Mother Communities are Hungry for Solutions & Authentic Conservatism Can Deliver
At The Felecia Killings Foundation, we invest in single mothers when others refuse to do so. We put action behind our words, because this is how the Kingdom of God functions.
We want mothers like Tasha to see our ministry as an empowerment center where their faith increases daily.
We want these mothers to see authentic Conservatives actively blessing communities that need us right now.
And thanks to Beloved Givers like you, we are setting up shop in Atlanta, GA to equip 25 single mothers in 2021 with grocery blessings, economic training, spiritual development, and communal living support.
Our KillingsVille Fundraising Initiative Continues!
The Felecia Killings Foundation has taken charge in empowering single mothers in this new decade, proving how authentic conservatism works!
By delivering social, political, and economic empowerment using our training programs, KillingsVille and My Beloved Women's Ministry, we help low-income single mothers create opportunities for the future.
Each month, we bless single mothers in our Network with funds for groceries. In addition, we provide them communal support, economic group coaching, and spiritual development through our communal living initiative.
And we accomplish this thanks to our Beloved Givers who give towards our Annual KillingsVille Fundraising Initiative.
In 2021, we are showing up in a big way to bless Black communities with authentic conservatism. For decades, these communities have only had one option available to them: progressivism.
Many leaders wrapped "charity" and "social development" in this destructive ideology. And in this next round, we want to provide Black communities ideological options by proving authentic conservatism -- empowering the individual, equipping her to master good capitalism -- works!
In doing so, we make it easier for these communities to support conservative candidates who will work in their best interests to protect their new economics.
Partner with us today, and watch the Law of Sowing and Reaping work in your favor this year.
Felecia Killings is also an Ordained Minister and Philanthropist. She is the Principal Coach of KillingsVille University and Communal Living Program, which teaches single mothers how to create new economic opportunities using the virtual space. Each month, her organization donates grocery blessings to the mothers affiliated with her program.
