It’s a New Year. But Let Us Not Forget Our Founding Principles.

At the end of every year, I ask Beloveds to evaluate their progress and whether they fulfilled their goals for that particular year.

Each time we enter a new year, new goals and new resolutions emerge.

But too often, people weaken their pursuits, especially as the cares of this world cloud their vision.

And each year, I want to remind you about the core principles that ground our work, our movement, and our ministry. 

The Essence of Conscious Conservatism and the 10 Spiritual Laws Governing Our Movement

To begin, let us recall the meaning of Conscious Conservatism.

Conscious Conservatism is based on the belief that spiritual laws and principles guide our human behavior and interaction. As humans, we conserve these truths and implement these values in culture, society, and politics. 

Conscious Conservatives use our words to tear down godless ideologies that rise up against our spiritual, conservative values; then we build or plant again in our communities so people thrive.

Conscious Conservatives empower. Even when we point out problems in our communities, we immediately present viable solutions WITH the people so each one prospers. We do so because we understand spiritual laws, which is higher-level thinking.

Conscious Conservatives are cognizant of the power of the blessing. We understand our words contain life or death; therefore, we use our words to bless — and not curse — fellow Americans. We don’t use our power, platforms, and voices to belittle people. We uplift, because we know our words shape our future and our world.

Conscious Conservatives understand we cannot help anyone if we are constantly bashing them. The Law of Sowing and Reaping is always in effect. Therefore, if we curse fellow Americans, we know a curse will come back on us. Therefore, we bless.

Conscious Conservatism invades the political space. Such Conservatives are not afraid to engage in topics most Americans want to address. Conscious Conservatives are beholden to neither Party, although we seek to take over the Republican one to provide political competition to individuals like Black American voters.

Simply put: Conscious Conservatism is an ideology based on moral conservative principles that focus on empowerment and progress in politics, culture, and society. (Source)

​Each time you see the phrase, “Conscious Conservatism,” I want you to equate this concept with spiritual laws. 

Spiritual laws do not discriminate. Instead, they empower groups to conquer earthly obstacles, no matter the trials.

And while there are numerous laws from which to use, The Foundation relies on 10 founding principles that continue bringing us much success.

1. The Law of Love | "So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other." (John 13:24)
2. The Law of Mercy and Grace | "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)
3. The Law of Reconciliation | "And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
4. The Law of Truth and Justice | "But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." (Amos 5:24)
5. The Law of Faith | "Do not fear. Only believe." (Mark 5:36)
6. The Law of Attraction | "God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not." (Romans 4:17)
7. The Law of Action | "So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead." (James 2:17)
8. The Law of Thanksgiving | "Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
9. The Law of Forgiveness | "But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins." (Matthew 6:15)
10. The Law of Sowing and Reaping | "Don't be misled: You cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant." (Galatians 6:7)

When implemented correctly, we can inject these core principles into our social, political, and economic spheres.

Leaders who practice the laws of God will do everything in their power to best serve the people.

Policies designed to oppressed will be eradicated.

Systems created to harm the masses will be replaced with more constructive ones.

But such efforts require us to apply that which we know to be true and right to our own lives so we prove to others how these laws work.

As we move forward into 2023, let us remember these core principles, which guide our human behavior and interactions.

Let us contend for the faith and be ever ready to evangelize the empowering message in our spheres of influence.

Let us hold fast to our principles over our party.

And let us never forget that our enemy is not the people, but rather any ideology that rises against the Wisdom and Knowledge of God.
