How to Make an Appeal to Black Women Based on School Choice

Greetings Beloved,

During my latest episode of "How We Did It," I sat down with Demetrius Minor to discuss Black America and how conservatism can empower our communities ... if Conservatives show up!

In the interview, he mentioned an important point regarding Black Outreach on the basis of conservative politics and principles. We discussed Ron DeSantis's previous victory in Florida, one in which he garnered a significant number of votes from Black mothers on the basis of school choice.

In The Fifteen 20 Rise, I discussed this same topic to prove to Conservatives that Black parents are equally invested in wholesome education for their children; and many will happily accept school choice as an option if presented with it.

In a previous lesson, you learned about the sharp rise in homeschooling among Black families.

In early 2020, roughly 3% of Black parents participated in this form of school choice. But by Fall 2020, more than 16% reported homeschooling their children.

Given the destruction found in our Progressive schools, one may wonder why more Black parents were not adopting school choice as an option prior to 2020.

The truth: Because Democrats sold Black families lies about school choice or homeschooling, namely:

• It's racist
• It's a part of White Supremacy
• It's only for rich White families
• It removes funding from public schools, which hurts Black students who need more resources

The list goes on and on.

These Progressive talking points did nothing to solve the problems in these public schools. In fact, many of them exacerbated the issues because Black parents weren't given options to see a better pathway ...

... until the Pandemic hit.

In one of Napoleon Hill's ground-breaking books, Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude, he writes, "Every adversity has the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit for those who have PMA. Sometimes the things that seem to be adversities turn out to be opportunities in disguise."

And without question, the Pandemic provided a "seed of a greater benefit" to Black parents who desperately wanted better options for their children.

While being forced to embrace homeschool training or online learning, many parents discovered newfound confidence to deliver to their children what they wanted from their Progressive schools.

As a result: 16% of Black families now know the power of homeschooling.

And at The Felecia Killings Foundation, we want to see these numbers increase as we put together our plans to use school choice as a method to bridge the gap between Black voters and Conservatives.

This week, we launched our official campaign for My Beloved Girls Group Homeschool Program.

Our program is an online community and educational network for families wishing to enter the homeschool wonderland.

Launching in January 2023, we will help parent leaders establish local homeschool spaces that focus on empowering girl creatives, starting with grade 6.

My Beloved Girls Group Homeschool Program was birthed out of my desire to see a more empowering educational platform for girls with creative minds. In today’s job market, girls can establish online businesses using their creative genius such as writing, speaking, blogging, podcasting, graphic designing, and more.

My Beloved Girls Group Homeschool Program also prepares girls for mastery of Advanced Placement courses. Scholars who successfully pass these exams can enter college with completed credits under their belt.

Inspired by my daughter’s learning abilities, I recognized the need to partner with other parent leaders and their daughters who want more than the traditional, Progressive schooling.

Not only will our online program deliver a powerful educational experience, but it will serve a social and political purpose. Once our girls come of age, we will teach them how to prepare themselves for building thriving social empires. Home-economics and development skills to be a Proverbs 31 wife will be taught.

Lastly, as our girls grow in their grace and power, and as they establish new virtual careers, we will teach them how conservative politics works to protect what they’re building.

All of our core lessons will be delivered through our newest niche social network and available to our parent leaders to download. Homeschool field trips and weekly gatherings will also be available for parents and their daughters living in Atlanta, GA.

The Felecia Killings Foundation is deeply committed to school choice options and presenting communities with opportunities for educational growth in the most optimal fashion.

Since 2021, homeschooling has increased dramatically in the United States. Among Black families, the rate has moved from 3% to 16% and is growing.

As more parents discover the power of homeschooling, especially in our predominantly Black communities, we help increase support for conservative politics.

Our program is also an excellent opportunity for school teachers to learn how to establish group homeschools in their area and build a business structure for parents who cannot homeschool their children.
