How to Use Data and Scholarly Research to Effectively Sell School Choice to Black Families7/28/2022 Greetings Beloved,Since 2018, my online presence has focused on teaching Conservatives how to effectively sell conservatism to Black voters. While current Right-wing pundits use racist talking points and stereotypes, I teach the base how to be more empowering so they get better results. More than that, I teach them how to stop the racist battering that gets them slapped in these political streets. One method for effectively selling conservatism is to use current data and scholarly research to inform new messaging. When it comes to irrefutable evidence, it's hard to contend with one's points. For example, a Beloved recently shared an article in Twitter Class called "HOMESCHOOLING: THE RESEARCH: Research Facts on Homeschooling, Homeschool Fast Facts" by Brian D. Ray, Ph.D.
Here are a few key highlights from the article:
During Twitter Class, I added the following points:
If you've been a part of my Twitter Class over the last few years, you know how effective I've been in selling conservatism to Black voters. This voting bloc is increasingly disgruntled with the Democrat Party, but they find no place on the Right because of how conservatism continues to be sold to them ... packaged in racist rhetoric (i.e. calling Black voters "slaves on a political plantation"). Offending a base never results in increase. Every message must be empowering, even when we address problems. At the core of Black communities' troubles is Progressivism or Big Government. Black folks, like any other average American, desires wealth, health, and prosperity. They want the best education for their children. They want opportunities to build and grow their economics using entrepreneurship. Black people are BUILDING. Yet, at every turn, they are confronted with over regulations and an oppressive local government that just can't seem to get things right despite demanding more funding to fuel its failure. The solution is competition, and one of the best ways to do this while building the Alliance is to sell school choice options to Black parents. At The Felecia Killings Foundation, we are doing just that and we want to see these numbers increase as we put together our plans to use school choice as a method to bridge the gap between Black voters and Conservatives. This week, we launched our official campaign for My Beloved Girls Group Homeschool Program. Our program is an online community and educational network for families wishing to enter the homeschool wonderland. Launching in January 2023, we will help parent leaders establish local homeschool spaces that focus on empowering girl creatives, starting with grade 6. My Beloved Girls Group Homeschool Program was birthed out of my desire to see a more empowering educational platform for girls with creative minds. In today’s job market, girls can establish online businesses using their creative genius such as writing, speaking, blogging, podcasting, graphic designing, and more. My Beloved Girls Group Homeschool Program also prepares girls for mastery of Advanced Placement courses. Scholars who successfully pass these exams can enter college with completed credits under their belt. Inspired by my daughter’s learning abilities, I recognized the need to partner with other parent leaders and their daughters who want more than the traditional, Progressive schooling. Not only will our online program deliver a powerful educational experience, but it will serve a social and political purpose. Once our girls come of age, we will teach them how to prepare themselves for building thriving social empires. Home-economics and development skills to be a Proverbs 31 wife will be taught. Lastly, as our girls grow in their grace and power, and as they establish new virtual careers, we will teach them how conservative politics works to protect what they’re building. All of our core lessons will be delivered through our newest niche social network and available to our parent leaders to download. Homeschool field trips and weekly gatherings will also be available for parents and their daughters living in Atlanta, GA. The Felecia Killings Foundation is deeply committed to school choice options and presenting communities with opportunities for educational growth in the most optimal fashion. Since 2021, homeschooling has increased dramatically in the United States. Among Black families, the rate has moved from 3% to 16% and is growing. As more parents discover the power of homeschooling, especially in our predominantly Black communities, we help increase support for conservative politics. Our program is also an excellent opportunity for school teachers to learn how to establish group homeschools in their area and build a business structure for parents who cannot homeschool their children. My Beloved Girls Group Homeschool Program is a part of our Black Outreach efforts and our strategic move for building the Alliance. Come learn more about our initiative here, and join us inside Twitter Class this week as we dive more into FREE lessons that help parents develop confidence to fortify their children's minds BEFORE they enter social settings.
