"Democrats want to be the Party of the poor. In order to do that, they have to keep you poor. There is no better weapon in that endeavor than Marxism." - Sonnie Johnson
Over the last couple of weeks, my teachings centered on #BreakingPoverty and rebuilding economic empires based on Kingdom principles.
From these lessons, you learned about the power of the mind. You learned key principles for success, including developing a positive mental attitude, forming a definite purpose, and putting action behind your faith.
How to Think and Grow Rich During Times of Economic Crises Using 17 Principles for Guaranteed Success
As we continue our #BreakingPoverty Challenge, I want to facilitate your learning by giving you 17 principles that break the poverty mentality and will usher you into ultimate success.
Back in 2016, I came across Napoleon Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich. During that time, I grew increasingly frustrated with my low-income status. In addition, I struggled mentally to get back on my feet, which was foreign to me given the success I achieved prior to my hardship.
As I expressed my frustrations to God, I eventually came across Think and Grow Rich. I purchased a copy from Amazon for $1, and indulged in its content repeatedly for weeks.
That book changed my entire mental outlook, and I soon realized my economic struggles had more to do with my own choices rather than what happened to me externally.
Traditionally, whenever I publish a new lesson for my mailing list, I give you an original teaching from The Foundation's learning vault.
But for today, I want to provide you a list of curated content that will teach you how to shift your mindset and overcome the poverty mentality that plagues so many of us.
Reading is the #1 tool used to break poverty.
It is the gateway to Wisdom and Knowledge.
Talk to any successful leaders, ask them about their daily routines, and they will tell you reading stands at the top of their priority list.
But these leaders don't read just anything.
They are meticulous about their resources.
Great leaders understand the power of their thoughts.
For this reason, they impress their minds with higher things such as love, peace, joy, happiness, loyalty, fidelity, and more.
Add to it, they give their minds empowering content to consume, because they know what they sow today, they will reap tomorrow.
This week, I want to challenge you to amplify your reading efforts. As we continue our #BreakingPoverty Challenge, understand your mind plays a pivotal role.
And to get you started on renewing your thoughts, here are some empowering articles for you to read today:
As we wrap up another empowering week, here are a few lessons from our archives to equip you this weekend:
As you know, this week, we launched our 1st #BreakingPoverty Challenge. During times of economic crises, it's important to remember Kingdom laws and principles. Those who remain steadfast and committed to their call and purpose will never be put to shame.
In this new lesson, I want to briefly teach about the costs of toxic mentalities.
In the spirit of our newest #BreakingPoverty Challenge, I want to teach you a lesson about breaking this cycle, which plagues so many of us today.
It's not uncommon for an empowering message to rise at a time when the masses are in despair.
Recently, I've consumed several of Napoleon Hill's self-help books like Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude and How to Own Your Own Mind. In these texts, he discusses spiritual laws that led to his success and that of many other prominent leaders.
But these books do more than just inspire and motivate.
They also provide an understanding of the social, political, and economic atmosphere of the early 1900s. In essence, these works have become history lessons for me.
The Felecia Killings Foundation and My Beloved Women's Ministry are excited to announce our 1st Annual #BreakingPoverty Challenge, a 60-day challenge that helps women break the cycle of poverty through education and application.
Poverty is more than the amount of dollars in one's bank account. Poverty begins as a state of mind, which must be renewed to think the thoughts of God. By developing a success-conscious mindset, women will discover new opportunities that help them step into long-term financial success.
Our #BreakingPoverty Challenge is a fun and exciting way to connect with other women online who have the same goals and ambition.
Each day, Coach Felecia will publish new lessons related to success-consciousness, financial well-being, business development, and more to get women started on the right track.
From there, we encourage all women participants to share their testimonies on Twitter, using #BreakingPoverty, to testify how they are breaking the cycle of poverty in their lives.
These testimonies can be:
Every testimony will differ. Nevertheless, women will discover how much easier it is to break the cycle of poverty by taking steps each day to make it happen.
At the end of our 60-Day Challenge, women will come together for our My Beloved Women's Virtual Summit on October 15, 2022 to share their testimonies LIVE and to enter to win our Scholarship Awards to advance their training.
If you would like to participate in this empowering challenge, here's how to get started:
We can't wait to see what blessings come your way, Beloved, during this 60-day challenge. Be sure to spread the word with family members and friends.
And as always, let's grow together!
This week, our focus remains on effective outreach. And while I spend considerable time talking about making inroads with Black voters, I want to expand upon those teachings by showing you how to reach your family and friends.
In Twitter Class, I often teach the importance of political education, especially through storytelling. In addition, in lockstep with Sonnie Johnson's message, I urge Beloveds to practice fellowship with diverse Americans.
Fellowship breaks down racial barriers, barriers Progressive government loves to uphold.
But political fellowship can also be had among family members and friends when the messaging is presented in an empowering manner.
How to Use Conscious Conservative Capitalism to Bridge the Gap Between Black Voters and Conservative Politics
As we come to the close of another empowering week, here's a recap of our latest lessons:
I want to close this week with a brief teaching about capitalism, namely Conscious Conservative Capitalism, and why this discussion is an effective method for bridging the gap between Black Voters and conservative politics.
This week's look at Black Outreach forces us to consider how the conservative base, namely its leaders and pundits, fail to reach voters who possess the same conservative values we have.
For years now, I've addressed the ongoing need to improve conservative messaging. In the 4th edition of my book, The Fifteen 20 Rise, I provide a clear framework for effective Black Outreach based on research and best marketing practices.
Since launching that work, every Conservative Candidate who applied the principles witnessed a significant increase in the number of Black voters supporting their message.
Some time ago, I sat down with Devin Jones, the Founder and Chairman of South Side Republican Organization. During our interview, he shared how he implemented the strategies I taught in my book.
He attested, no one can deny the results.
And that's what I'm always after.
This week, our focus has been on outreach, not simply related to politics, but in all areas requiring the empowering message.
You will notice, The Foundation teaches you how to get active in the social, political, and economic spheres. That means we aren't simply focused on conservative politics and how to make this a force in Black communities. It also means addressing topics that help our communities thrive in all areas.
While one voice can carry the message, nothing compares to watching millions of voices bring the same empowering word, even if done in their particular way.
