A Note to Conservative Leaders: Stop Turning to Big Daddy Government Because of Ideas You Do Not Like
Since when has enlarging government's power ever worked for us?
There are so many times when I ask myself, “Is anyone listening to what I’m trying to say?”
When I told Conservatives in January 2019 to keep an eye on Kamala Harris, they didn’t listen. I said, “She will be the formidable force against Trump in 2020.”
They still didn’t listen.
I even told folks where I gathered my insight.
They still didn’t listen.
When I told Christian Conservatives, “Trump is not your King Cyrus but your King Nebuchadnezzar now,” they didn’t listen. I provided extensive teachings on Daniel 4 to prove the validity of the prophetic word.
I even taught them how we could pivot to avoid a loss that would usher in more progressive policies.
But they still didn’t listen.
When I said outreach to Black voters is crucial for a win, they didn’t listen. They ran with the Black faces who gave them talking points while swindling more Conservative dollars to fund more losing strategies.
Unfortunately, this has been the pattern, and I have to remind myself that I am solely responsible for delivering the insight and teaching that will help God’s people win, whether they listen or not.
Well, I am once again sounding the alarm regarding our incessant dependence on government to enact policies that actually infringe on people’s rights, even when those policies come from the Right.
Over the last several months, I have warned Conservatives not to use banning knowledge as a method for combating this "re-branded" version of Critical Race Theory.
In Twitter Class last year, I proved to Beloveds how Conservative pundits use fear to punk the base into full political submission. They tell lies and push propaganda on ill-informed citizens so these people come to vote for more oppression.
For example, the punditry class promoted a CRT boogeyman; told Conservatives it was coming to devour their children; and then used fear to provoke the base into allowing legislators to create laws that essentially put Black History content on the banning list.
The warnings were always present.
But again ... the base only listens to the ones who lie to them.
While the Right relishes in telling Black voters how brainwashed they are for their voting habits, the Right fails to see how it has been lied to for DECADES when it comes to race topics.
Sonnie Johnson is the voice who highlighted the root cause for this indoctrination, pointing directly to Lost Cause History. And if you have not studied how this long-standing indoctrination made its way into the Conservative space, I highly encourage you to look into it.
One of the reasons I truly value Dad’s training during my upbringing is because he did not keep me from learning or receiving authentic American History. In addition, he gave me spiritual principles to fortify my mind. He grounded me in Truth. And he encouraged me to pursue higher education so I could advance career-wise.
He warned me about the crazies, although he didn’t use those exact words. He told me about liberal colleges and how they attempt to manipulate young minds.
But he still encouraged me to pursue my education because he trusted God’s law, one in particular that stated, “Train a child in the way he should go … and he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
During my college years, I was introduced to an extended version of Black History. The stories fascinated me, and seeing the rich Culture displayed before my eyes inspired me to double major in Black Studies.
As a part of the curriculum, I was also introduced to Critical Race Theory. The premise was simply to explain the role racism played in American systems, especially politics.
And it was the ONLY theory available to me that proved why racism was not an inherent trait in White Americans, but rather a carefully constructed concept used for economic purposes.
Today, I call such ideas “Colored Communism,” because its aim was to use a debased mindset to dominate “limited” resources. By teaching the concepts of superior and inferior races, government, which was controlled exclusively by White Americans, could determine who could and could not gain access to wealth.
Those few tenets of CRT just made sense. And that was the extent of my understanding because Critical Race Theory was an extensive course taught to law students, of which I was not one.
Couple my education with Dad’s teachings about racism as a byproduct of man’s sinful nature, everything just made sense.
So, in 2020, as I watched Conservatives go up in arms about CRT being pushed on students, I asked myself, “What’s the big deal? And why are you guys whining over something that is NOT present?"
Then as I listened to the pundits LIE to the base, I became enraged because what they called CRT was NOT Critical Race Theory. (And eventually, their lies were exposed by the anti-CRT evangelist, Christopher Rufo, in one of his many tweets. Another anti-CRT evangelist, Quisha King, pulled a similar stunt, and later admitted in my Twitter Class that CRT was NOT being taught in K-12 schools. But, of course, Conservatives love being lied to.)
Then when Trump tried issuing the 1776 Project in 2020, I flipped. That’s when he completely lost my support, because we do not ban one form of knowledge in exchange for more enforced propaganda.
We teach the Truth, all of it.
We teach authentic American history, all of it.
We don’t LIE to our babies and call that “protection” when we know one day, those lies will come back to bite us.
Last year, I told Twitter Class, “Your children will hate you for lying to them in the near future. They will read your tweets, see how vehemently you banned them from information, and resent you for it.”
And I will add here: As they resent you for withholding these pertinent discussions, they will turn to Leftist Progressives for answers. They will reject your conservatism because you won’t talk to them about what’s happening in this country.
This brings me to the main lesson within this teaching.
As of today, Georgia, Texas, and Florida are among the many red states that are banning "CRT" in schools.
I asked Conservatives a while ago, “What are the consequences for teachers who choose to teach tenets of CRT anyways, now that it’s being banned?”
You know, tenets like racism is socially-constructed and not inherent in White Americans' DNA.
Yeah, tenets like that!
You can guess the responses I received: nothing but crickets.
Why? Because folks NEVER consider the irreparable consequences of banning.
When government bans something, that means a new criminal is born. A new villain is created.
And anyone who “violates” the said ban, even when the ban violates the Constitution, that person’s life is damaged.
This is Progressivism 101.
This is Progressivism on the Right.
Of course, people will tell me, “Felecia, you’re making a big deal out of nothing again.” And I will say to them, “Go check my previous warnings and tell me again I am making a big deal out of nothing.”
The consequences of banning knowledge will directly harm teachers, especially Black teachers if they choose to address racism in schools where White students outnumber other groups.
I know this experience.
I lived this experience.
When I addressed the racism and unfair administrative practices at Rodriguez High School, a few White students complained to the administration about it.
I didn’t teach those children about Critical Race Theory specifically. I didn’t teach them about White Guilt.
I gave authentic, empowering Black History, and they were STILL triggered.
And when the students became triggered, so did their parents.
Later on, I learned the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District had IN FACT practiced racial discrimination; and suddenly, my lessons weren’t just “out there.”
Had that school district done what Texas, Florida, and Georgia are doing today, my teaching career would have ended months after I started.
Why?
Because ANY STUDENT can falsely accuse a teacher of breaking policies, even when that teacher brings forth AUTHENTIC history.
This is the new atmosphere Conservatives and Republicans created in the educational system.
And one day, these actions will come back to hurt conservatism as a whole.
The Law of Sowing and Reaping is ALWAYS in effect.
Each time government creates new laws, new criminals are born.
For this reason, I contend adamantly, “We don’t ban knowledge. We compete on the battlefield of ideas.”
No matter how fancy these Republican officials paint banning CRT, it’s still banning knowledge simply because they do not like what’s presented in the culture.
And I cannot emphasize this point enough: CRT is NOT being taught in the schools.
You just have Progressive Becky and her bigotry of low expectations delivering her opinions to children. Teacher Becky is simply practicing CRITICAL PEDAGOGY, which is simply the effects of Critical Theory reshaping the educational system.
That would be your proper battle, but alas, here are Conservatives and their "Moms for Liberty" organizations working to ban Black History content instead.
Conservatives can’t discern between these lies and truths because they won’t read the original tenets of CRT. They simply go off what their pundits tell them.
And the pundits KNOW THIS! They expect you to remain ignorant.
But when someone like me checks them on their lies: they block, they smear, or they send their petty boyfriends to my Twitter Class to fight me on principles their boyfriends once professed!
On the Right, I am the ONLY voice telling Beloved Conservative, “You could use CRT to pimp slap your White Progressive cousins for using the theory as a weapon against you.”
How?
By hitting them with ONE tenet, which proposes racism is a social construct that THEIR Progressive ancestors used to create policies that directly harmed Black communities.
But how can you make such arguments possible when you won’t read? You won't pick up a book. You won't listen to your authentic Black Conservative voices who put their reputations on the line to deliver you truth.
You steady turn to Republican politicians, Conservative pundits, and thirsty grifters for your insight ...
... when BLACK HISTORY is right here to support the authentic conservative principles.
The Right has a problem with dependence on government when it comes to legislating IDEAS.
And now Republicans want to implement their own version of history, which they call “Patriot History.”
It’s nothing but a Candyland version of American History; and Democrats will POUNCE on these policies during the election seasons.
Add to this, Conservatives have erected a new barrier between themselves and Black voters.
Black Americans won’t entertain the Right because they see us attacking Black History.
And now they view our banning as another attempt to prevent diversity training in the SYSTEMS that pushed racial discrimination.
The optics are bad.
Very bad.
And no matter how you try to twist the narrative, Black voters can only see Conservatives as cowards who cannot handle topics of race.
For this reason, “White Fragility” is validated. When the Left calls you racist, they have receipts to prove it.
Conservatives have once again given more ammo to the opposing side when all along the solution has been to COMPETE with an alternative “anti-racist” training and authentic American history.
Now Democrats are mobilizing, using the ammo you’ve given them.
Your offspring will reject your version of conservatism because you refused to compete or to present Truth. And they will vote for candidates who give them the free will to learn whatever.
Today, Conservatives have choices, but they don’t have much time.
The 2022 mid-term elections are upon us. In Georgia, solid Democrat candidates are launching their campaigns while we still promote Black faces who dehumanize Black voters on our platforms.
And while the GOP and Conservatives out here gripe over nonsense, the Conscious Conservative Movement will show up to present voters with options.
So, the choice is up to Conservatives on the ground.
What are you going to do? How will you pivot?
Will you make your local GOP do better? Will you put pressure on them to do outreach?
Will you be the ones to compete on the battlefield of ideas while your Conservative cousins run from the fight?
How will you make history in this moment?
Because one day, your offspring will look at this time to see where you were and how you engaged.
Will you run?
Will you teach them to ban information or to cower when race topics are presented?
What type of Conservative legacy are you leaving?
Something to ponder today.
