Greetings Beloved Business Leader,Welcome to The 10 Ninety Guides, where I teach new business leaders how to master social media marketing and online domination so their books, products, and services reach millions every year. I am Coach Felecia Killings, Founder and CEO of The Felecia Killings Foundation. I am also the lead Coach for The Foundation's multiple coaching programs for men and women business leaders. Since 2011, I've worked with individuals like you to help them launch powerful, profitable online platforms. The secret to your success lies in your ability to apply spiritual laws and best-business practices to your work. These strategies are what I used to push my platform to the top in the conservative political sphere. And by leveraging this presence, I promote my coaching programs that help me generate new clients each week. I believe strongly that every business leader has something powerful to offer the market. As such, it's important for you to receive the right training to get you on that pathway towards greatness. And this blog series will help you get started, especially if you are new to online business and virtual ministry development. "The 10 Ninety," as you will come to learn the more you stick with my platform, is a term I coined to help business leaders understand how the online landscape works. Most often, new online entrepreneurs and virtual ministers create a product like a book; then they expect that product to effortlessly make them money, especially when published on massive platforms like Amazon. But in the virtual world, creating a product like a book is only 10% of the entire business process. Marketing or promoting that product will require 90% of your time. And how you market yourself, your brand, and your platform will determine if consumers buy your product. Keep this understanding in mind as you go through this teaching. Now, for today's Empowering Post, I want to teach you 7 strategies for marketing your platform, products, and services online. More specifically, if you are a published author, you'll learn how to position your book in a given industry so millions see you as the go-to expert. So, let's get started. 1. Establish Your Online Portfolio and Author's Platform in the Most Empowering Way PossibleQuite often, when new business leaders complete their first book or launch their new service, they are looking for ways to promote their works on other people's platforms. Too few, however, think to create their own platform, which serves as their online hub in the market. Before diving into aggressive marketing, every business leader must establish their own online portfolio like an Author's Platform. They must create a virtual home where visitors (readers) can come to receive from them on a continual basis. Inside one of my other coaching programs called Building an Author's Platform That Works, we teach that an Author's Platform can be one's website or blog. It's the place where we learn about the author, discover more about the books created, and receive access to other resources the author provides. Without an Author's Platform, aggressive marketing proves futile. If you promote yourself to the masses, and the masses have no where to find you, all your promotion is in vain. 2. Employ Influencer Marketing and Build Brand Partnerships That Expand Your Online PortfolioNow that you have a branded platform, you can consider different methods for marketing your products and services. One of the fastest ways to bolster your online presence is to work with influencers in your market using what the virtual space calls "influencer marketing." Influencer marketing involves outsourcing key leaders in the virtual space who will bring awareness to a business leader's brand. By purchasing sponsored content (i.e. blog posts, social media posts, video content, website ad space), a leader can rely on an influencer to promote one's brand and book to a growing audience." - Coach Felecia Killings If, for example, you have a book that helps churches create more programs for their people, you can connect with an influencer whose platform reaches multiple churches in your area. By hiring them to market your book, you instantly expand your platform without the stress of building your audience one reader at a time. When your name becomes synonymous with an influencer's brand, you establish more credibility and authority in the online space. And more credibility means more readers and followers in the long run. 3. Employ Blogging and Make This a Staple Marketing Tool for Your Online PortfolioWhen working with new business leaders, I require them to create an engaging blog on their platform, especially if they are selling a book for a specific audience. In fact, if you are a writer, blogging is one of the easiest, most cost-efficient methods for promoting your brand. And here's how it works: Blogging allows you to demonstrate your expertise in shorter formats to your audience. Blogging improves a person's presence in the online space. The more content you have on the web (which is associated with your name), the more people come to see your brand as an authority figure in your industry. When you think about blogging, you must see it as a long-term investment. The content you produce on your site today will be useful years later. In addition, you must see blogging as a business strategy and not simply a hobby. Nobody cares about what you ate for dinner, unless you wrote a book about food and healthy eating. Each time you construct a new article, your blog post must meet the needs of your audience while also serving your bottom line: to generate income. Again, blogging is a business strategy that delivers your mission effectively. So, learn to use it wisely. 4. Employ Vlogging by Repurposing Content from Your BlogIn the same way that blogging helps establish your online credibility, so does vlogging. This marketing strategy allows you to use video marketing as a means of delivering quality content to your potential audience. In the same manner in which you employ blogging, you apply the same principles to your vlogging strategy, except you use video presentations to accomplish this. Vlogging is simple and FREE, and you can use platforms like Facebook and YouTube to house your vlog. Let's say you have a book that teaches women how to overcome depression. Your vlog can deliver daily or weekly video presentations that provide some of the content found in your work. In addition, because blogging can be quite time-consuming, vlogging lessons based on bite-size information from your articles can serve as great, repurposed content for your online portfolio. 5. Dominate 2-3 Social Media PlatformsSocial media continues to be the giant within the marketing world; each platform brings together millions of minds each day. Because we now have dozens of social media sites, I encourage you to select 2-3 platforms that best suit your brand's needs. For example, if your platform is more professional and caters to the business world, LinkedIn is the place you want to be. If your platform is more playful, colorful, and visual, Instagram is a perfect solution. Once you've identified the right platforms for your brand, you must learn everything there is to know about each one. Study the trends surrounding each platform. Digest the statistics. Use the data to help inform your marketing practices. Most importantly, learn how each audience communicates on each platform. The people who socialize on Twitter will not have the same energy as the people on Facebook or Snapchat. Find your place. Dominate each space. And watch your audience grow. 6. Create Monthly and Annual Online EventsAt some point, your audience will expect to see you appearing online frequently. And a great way to turn those people into buyers is to host online events. Some examples include hosting webinars, online virtual Bible studies, virtual summits, online book talks, and more. Give your audience something to look forward to each month and year, and this will surely increase your platform's presence. 7. Engage in Email Marketing on a DAILY BasisI'll conclude this teaching with a brief discussion about email marketing. For new business leaders, this strategy may prove to be the most difficult task of them all. Email marketing requires you to have a system of operations in place so you can readily promote your paid products and services to your most loyal audience. When you have an email list, this means readers have given you permission to send them daily content directly to their inbox. This also means these members expect to be sold to, because they know you are a business or ministry. They know finances are necessary to keep your work going. As such, email marketing is by far one of the most effective ways I've been able to generate income from my existing audience. And as my email list grows, so will my income, because more subscribers mean more clients. The same principle will apply to your work as well. Bringing It All TogetherI want to add here that while these 7 marketing strategies are the most effective tools for promoting your brand, each one carries complex parts. There is a science involved with each method, and it will take time to master each one.
But once you've figured out how to create your marketing system, you will easily reach the masses on autopilot. So, I pray this lesson blessed you.
