There's a Growing Trend to Publicly Disgrace One's Husband for Social Media Clicks

​We are truly living in an upside-down world where women find themselves in need of attention in the wrong places.

Earlier this morning, I watched a video about DJ Envy, a known podcaster on the Breakfast Club, and his wife, who are currently promoting their newest book about marriage and relationships.

In an interview with the Shade Room, wife Gia Casey confessed publicly how her husband could not satisfy her in their marriage. She then proceeds to tell viewers how, no matter how hard her husband tried to make her happy, she was not content.

In response, DJ Envy stated, "It hurt me because I thought I was pleasing my wife. You hear all these stories about women talking ... and I feel like they laughing, and now I feel like that's what my wife is doing."

Unfortunately, DJ Envy's experience is not isolated.

There's a growing trend among women today to publicly disgrace their husbands for social media status. And no matter how a wife tries to paint the disgrace as something "empowering" to her, it is the vilest disrespect.

During today's Twitter Class, I took time to point women in a better direction. I urged them, "Do not let this trend be named among you. There is a better way to get what you desire while still honoring your husband."

For some reason, women believe the best way to get what they want is to diminish a man's influence or impact in the process. No matter how well that man treats her, a disgruntled woman will find fault with him.

In Proverbs chapter 7, we see evidence of this uncouth behavior, a lesson I discussed in a recent podcast episode. We read how a wife, whose husband was away on business, engaged in affairs to satisfy her greed. And even that was not enough.

The same attitude can be found among modern women today, whose desire for attention is grossly misplaced.

Rather than being satisfied with a husband and children who praise them and call them blessed (Proverbs 31), modern women look to total strangers on social media for validation.

When such thinking becomes viral, it's easier for gullible women to adopt this behavior. Soon, they start publicly disgracing their husbands to their female friends or fellow church people.

They gossip to "snakes" about their husband's ineptitude, as if Eve's story taught them nothing.

They resort to dehumanizing their husbands.

Meanwhile, the women they talk to are silently plotting to become that man's new wife.

The game is always present.

And yet, we have been given a better way.

The Ancient Texts never fail to give us great insight on building healthy relationships. When discussing this topic with Twitter Class, I always reference the books of Proverbs and Esther.

Women today would do well to consume these teachings, because they provide every principle needed to obtain the object of their desires.
