How Firebrand Conservative Leaders Can Address Issues of Importance and Win Black Voters' Hearts
Your pundits told you it was pandering, and you believed them.
Politics is business.
And in this business, there are constituents who function like customers. They use their vote to purchase candidates who will do their bidding in office.
For those of us who understand this, we see why it's important to sell policies that appeal to voters who hold conservative values.
But for many Conservatives, they have yet to understand politics at this level.
Some genuinely believe our American government is like a physical manifestation of the Kingdom of God. I discussed this warped idea in my newest book, Progressivism is NOT Charity.
Other Conservatives see our government as an answer to problems THEY deem sinful. In other words, when it comes to morality, they don't mind soliciting Big Daddy Government to force people to live righteously.
Then there are those Conservatives who see government for what it is: necessary, but with many limitations.
Government has a responsibility to protect its citizens from foreign and domestic terrorism. It does not, however, have the right to dictate our freedoms. There are some matters that will never be solved with government, such as abortion, sexual orientations, etc.
No, to get those types of results, you actually have to solicit a different Kingdom, one that is not of this world.
You must learn to tap into this Kingdom's resources, pull from its Wisdom, and apply its principles so you can effectively witness its message. But that is another lesson for another day.
When we talk about American politics, however, Conservatives have been told that appealing to certain demographics, like Black Americans, isn't the conservative way.
In fact, they call it "pandering" ... as if candidates don't "pander" to Conservatives all the time LOL.
If anyone on the conservative side sells conservative policies to Black voters, the base becomes enraged. That's when they accuse people like me of "race baiting" or "being a segregationist" or "calling for race politics."
I laugh, because over the last year, Republicans have specifically developed legislation nationwide that protects White people from the big, bad boogeyman known as CRT.
And we know this to be true, Beloveds, so let's not pretend what I'm saying is off the cuff.
Conservatives are currently employing what CRT zealots advocate. One of the core tenets of that philosophy suggests White people use the legal system to create new laws that protect them while harming others.
And right now, that's EXACTLY what Conservatives are doing: using legislation to "ban CRT" while simultaneously removing Black History content from schools.
Don't pretend this isn't happening, either. I've shared numerous examples of this in Twitter Class.
These "bans" are to protect White people, and that means your colorblind arguments have completely faltered.
So, if race-based legislation is now permissible on the Right, have Conservatives finally accepted the idea that conservative politics can be tailored to Black communities that need the competing machine?
Have we reached the place where we can finally admit to ourselves that selling certain policies is not pandering but rather selling protection?
You see, for Conservatives, they want Big Daddy Government to guard their children from feeling guilty about slavery and Jim Crow.
Your White Progressive cousins are responsible for that mental abuse, not Black people.
And instead of battling your cousins on ideological turfs, you asked government to enlarge itself for your own good.
Not only that, to each candidate who sold you this bill of goods, you voted for them.
So, why is it when Black Conservatives like me or Sonnie Johnson tell you to sell conservatism on the basis of ECONOMICS, you seem to have a problem with that?
I mean, our Black Conservatism is far more rooted in authentic conservatism than the passive Progressivism you advocate on the Right. We didn't ask you to sell conservative politics to protect Black children from CRT's mental abuse.
Conservatives won't even mention Black children in these anti-CRT discussions, because, again, current legislation is to protect White people, not the Black babies.
No, we didn't bother asking you to use these politics to protect children from ideas, because we aren't that fragile.
Our communities have dealt with far worse than some stupid book your White Progressive cousins use to abuse your minds.
Our communities had actual American legislation calling them non-humans. And we beat through that mental abuse.
Our communities currently have Conservative pundits calling them mental slaves just for practicing voting rights.
Our communities endured far worse than your petty CRT craze, so we Black Conservatives aren't asking you to sell your politics to us on something so trivial.
We specifically asked you to sell conservative politics to our communities, namely to eligible Black male voters, for the purpose of protecting our growing economics.
We actually have plans in place to rebuild our communities at the social and economic level.
But what good is it to have increased economics when our current Progressive politics dictate we give more resources to Big Daddy Government when evidence proves we need wealth to remain localized?
No, we asked Conservatives to be above the basic "pandering" and to simply sell their political power to protect rising Black Wealth ... while expanding the base ... while building the alliances.
That's it.
Now, why is that so hard to comprehend?
Is this type of selling "race-based" policy? And if it is, how is it any different that your race-based, anti-CRT policy?
You see, when framed in this light, you have no choice but to check your political hypocrisy at the door.
While your Conservative pundits told you such efforts to sell conservatism to Black voters went against conservative principles, they only did it to keep you from making alliances with Black Americans.
Republican history proves this, too!
Let's not forget your ancestors' push to remove the "Black and Tans" from the Party. Let's not forget the Lily White Movement.
Evidence is all around us, but your Conservative pundits don't want you to know this because then they would have to give an account for why YOU have received the racist battering all these years.
You do see that, right?
They pushed out Black Americans, who helped found the Republican Party.
They told you Black Americans want nothing to do with Republicans because we simply love socialism (insert eye rolls).
They told you we were slaves on a plantation who couldn't think for ourselves.
And then you got battered for it in these political streets.
You got called racist for simply being conservative in your politics and beliefs.
Your Party did that to you, not Black Americans.
And because of that clear racial divide, you had no other group to work with you as government's boot made its way on your necks.
Now, y'all can't fight one solid government battle without asking government to enlarge itself all in the name of protecting you.
Tell me, again: Exactly HOW is bigger government a conservative solution?
It isn't.
So, if you now see the writing on the wall, it stands to reason you should remove your colorblind shades and accept reality for what it is.
In this country, right now, the American government system is working AGAINST its own citizens in certain communities.
In areas like Albany, GA, the poverty rate is astronomical. Howbeit, in a nation as prosperous and wealthy as this country, we have such concentrated, race-based depravity?
Have you stopped to consider this issue?
In areas like Albany, GA, Progressivism is so rampant, even the church leaders are in bed with the same oppressors the people complain about.
On every corner, you will find another church that only teaches the people to remain comfortable in survival mode. And on other corners, you will see mega churches sitting in the heart of poverty-stricken neighborhoods.
How is it that there is no revival, no reformation, no renaissance, and no poverty-breaking message infiltrating this area; yet 400 churches sit comfortably in this city?
Does this not call for our attention? Do these American cities not deserve a competing force that pushes against Progressivism's stronghold?
This is what we are talking about when we say sell conservatism to Black America. We aren't asking you to sell a bill of goods or to "pander" to our communities.
We're simply asking you to show up, make alliances, and sell policies that protect our communities against over-regulations.
Or let's break it down even further.
Exactly how is it pandering to sell conservatism to Black America when we hear ongoing stories about America's babies being shot and killed in our American streets?
Conservatives will march for the unborn, raise millions for the pro-life cause, and will tell women how murderous they are for contemplating abortion.
But there is no cause to get Progressivism's boot off the necks of these Black communities?
No millions being raised to help fellow American citizens exercise the same freedoms and liberties you want for your families?
Funny how conservatism sold in this light is simply interpreted as "pandering," but race-based educational policy for White people is completely understandable.
Again, I laugh at the political hypocrisy.
After nearly 6 years of being a part of the public Conservative Movement, I decided, "Since they won't go, I will go."
I made Albany, GA my prime case study. And in partnership with King Randall, we will take that city and create the blueprint for other Firebrand Conservative Leaders who want to bring change to their communities.
The time is now to create the new pathway for future generations.
Building the alliances is no longer an option but rather a necessity.
And in 2022, we are making that happen.
Starting in February, the Conscious Conservative Movement will launch the largest conservative-sponsored, voter registration drive in areas like Albany, GA. This will be in addition to our current outreach initiative to bless single mothers with FREE online business training.
As it currently stands, Democrats are selling "voting rights" to Black Americans as if we don't have the right to vote today.
And while it's easy to mock the current political climate, I told FOX and Friends that our Movement's solution is to simply show up in these Black communities and launch a massive drive to register NEW Black voters.
It is a fact: When Conservatives show up in these Black communities, it makes it harder for Democrats to call them racist.
And since our current GOP won't do the hard work, we will, because American citizens do NOT deserve to have a government systemically oppressing them, unchecked!
In addition to registering new voters, we will provide education on Conscious Conservatism, proving why this is the better option for Black communities. We will present conservative politics as a method to help protect their growing economics.
And for the ones who decide to join our Movement, we will deliver FREE educational training to help them master the trades, the virtual space, and much more!
This is how we do things a better way so we get better results.
This is how your financial contributions towards our Movement are being spent.
And as we take this next step of faith, we are calling upon Beloveds to work with us, whether as volunteers, financial contributors towards our fundraising drives, or virtual ambassadors who make our Movement viral.
Whatever it is, we need all hands on deck.
It's now your time to activate.
