"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).What is your vision, Beloved? If you were sitting with me right now, this is the first question I would ask. What is your vision? And have you made it plain enough to run with it? Most people are dreamers. They envision themselves doing great wonders. And for those who practice a little faith, they begin to put action back of their beliefs. With each step, they see success. Excitement overtakes them. They take another step, expecting greater results. But Life, doing what She always does so well, challenges their faith. A sickness hits them. A loved one dies. Clients abandon them. Anything to deter them from their destination. And that’s when they question their vision’s worth. Before long, they come to a crossroad where they must choose to give up or persevere. Of all the dreamers who take the initial steps to see their visions realized, the vast majority will quit their calling simply because the road was too tough. Perhaps you find yourself in a similar predicament, Beloved. You know you’ve been given something great to do. But the challenges are clouding your vision. Still, there is a glimmer of hope inside you. What choice will you make? Eric Thomas, a world-renowned motivational speaker and author, expressed in a video, the best method for overcoming obstacles is to persevere. He asks, why quit when you can keep going and experience the blessing you’ve been waiting for? This is a question I also raise to you, Beloved.
Why give up on your God-given vision? Do you not know that trials come to test your faith? As James preached, “Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way” (James 1:2-4 MSG). Most often, leaders like you struggle because they lack wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and guidance. With a clear roadmap for success, the journey towards manifesting your vision is made easier.
