While most Beloveds know me as a Communications Consultant for Conservative Candidates and Organizations, I am also a business coach to folks wanting to enter the online business and virtual ministry spaces.I began this new career back in 2011 while working with new authors. I taught them how to use their books as a business tool or service that opened other doors of opportunities. And I provided them extensive training on building the infrastructure for their online venture so it lasts a lifetime. Few of my clients went on to apply my lessons in a magnanimous way. Some only used the teachings to fulfill smaller goals. But to the ones who applied my strategies and put action behind their vision, their works prospered. The Felecia Killings Foundation is simply one case study that proves the lessons I teach work. Back in 2016, I built this virtual empire from the ground up. When I first began this journey, I didn't have resources to pay for experts to build the infrastructure. The most I could afford were e-books. But my most expensive "expenses" were made in time, spending thousands of hours researching best business practices and seeing what worked for my vision. Today, these results have brought my brand and message to millions online consistently. After applying these core lessons and seeing the results, I then trained my clients and scholars to do the same.
Again, the ones who applied the teachings continue to prosper. I preface this lesson with my business background because I want to speak directly to fellow business leaders who have small, mid-size, or large companies within the Beloved Tribe. Many of you are behind-the-scenes followers who don't make too many waves in this public political space. I understand why, because politics can be so divisive. Tweet the wrong thing, and folks will attempt to cancel your business, thus crushing your livelihood. I completely understand. But I also know what it's like to feel that urge to say something when you see an injustice done to others. I know what it's like to want to do something that will make a change. Too often, however, the question remains, "What do I do?" As business leaders, we are called to bring ideas to the market that solve certain problems. In my case, my calling urges me to teach millions how to do things God's way so we get His results. God's way also includes us being good stewards over the resources available to us. God's way includes being wise over our businesses so they prosper. God's way includes us taking time to learn how to function ethically in this capitalist economy, never using our resources, influence, or power to oppress people. I am aware of doing things God's way and getting His results because I practice what I preach. In hindsight, the Holy Spirit has become the Principal Partner and Business Advisor to me regarding this virtual ministry and online business. As such, He has also given me a creative idea and strategy to help fellow business leaders like you get more active in your communities without compromising your morals or putting your business at risk of "cancel culture." A few weeks ago, I shared a lesson about the power of Conscious Conservative Capitalism. I define this economic term as such: "Conscious Conservative Capitalism is a community-based, economic system rooted in spiritual laws. The individual contributes his gifts, talents, and skills to the market. He exchanges his goods or services for capital. He uses the resources to bless his immediate family so they are well-provided. Then he invests directly in his community with contributions that help the entire unit prosper. Because the individual is fully aware of the Law of Sowing and Reaping, he does not fear contributing to the overall community, for the Law promises to return to him 30, 60, or 100 fold. "The same spiritual law promises the following: "There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty" (Proverbs 11:24). "Conscious Conservative Capitalism replaces the need for government interference in our economic and social affairs. While "Compassionate Conservatism" or "Democrat Community Capitalism" seeks to use bigger government to help local communities, our economic philosophy returns power to the people for the expressed purpose of building their local empires." In every successful society, capital is required. In every successful business, capital must flow. And in every successful community-based organization, capital is required to provide services. Yet, too often, community organizations cannot function to their capacity because of lack of capital. In another lesson, I told you about the non-profit industry, specifically addressing the local churches in our communities. In Albany, GA, for example, nearly 400 churches reside in that city. Yet, close to 90% of its Black residents -- making up 75% of that city's population -- live in poverty. By the looks of things, one can ascertain God is not present in Albany. (A topic I will tackle in another lesson at another time.) Yet, these churches are forming because they see how certain "mega church leaders" receive millions in grants from their Progressive government, which keeps the people in poverty. By forming more churches, some believe they, too, can gain immediate access to government grants. (But that's not how the system works, because in this world, network is key. Again, another lesson for another day.) Churches that attempt to make partnerships with our government run high risks that often cost them their souls. And that is no exaggeration. Why? Because our government has made God irrelevant. Oh, they will use His name when it's convenient for them. But government has made itself a god to the people, a benevolent god at that! And churches that work in lockstep with these systems must succumb to their policies, which often include violating God's laws for man's ways. As such, the people find it difficult to trust a God they cannot see, especially when their local churches constantly look to their government for economic solutions. You may ask, "Felecia, what does this have to do with me as a business leader?" And my response to you is this: Those of us whom God has graced with wisdom to start and maintain private businesses have the unique opportunity to make our convictions known by how we use our resources. We know what happens when government gives millions directly to organizations that have zero oversight: greed, corruption, fraud, etc. The results: centuries of more economic oppression among certain American citizens. But what would happen if we returned to our core conservative values of private businesses sponsoring works in local communities? I'm not talking about replicating what Big Corporations did with Black Lives Matter, Inc. These businesses funneled millions into that faux community organization, which refused to "trickle down" their economics to the local chapters. No, I am talking about private businesses like yours and mine making partnerships via sponsorships for community-based programs that need funding. And in exchange for this funding, these organizations evangelize your business, brand, product, and services to the people they serve. This is the type of business-community partnership we need, and opportunities are before us right now to take advantage. Perhaps you've already heard about this type of strategy for building brand awareness. It's nothing new. Yet, not enough businesses actually practice this strategy. If you haven't noticed, I put this economic ideology to practice within The Felecia Killings Foundation. Although we are officially an L.L.C. in Georgia now, we also have a community-outreach program that seeks to bring social, political, and economic empowerment to folks via literacy. We call it My Beloved Books, and it's a staple work alongside our Conscious Conservative Movement's evangelism efforts in GA and in other states. Each weekend, my team and I visit a predominantly Black city to distribute FREE books to residents while sharing the good news of Conscious Conservatism. Our Movement is committed to bringing an empowering, educational experience to men, women, and children in communities suffering from Progressivism’s destruction. By equipping the heart and mind of each person, we will help communities transform from the inside out. At The Foundation, we believe wisdom and knowledge are key to bringing revival, reformation, and the renaissance to a community. When more people are educated in key principles that ensure our success, we will witness the greatest movement of God our nation has ever seen. My Beloved Books is our newest empowering program that helps address current issues facing American citizens in predominantly Black communities. Our program’s mission is to distribute empowering books that focus on key conservative values. More specifically, our purpose is to:
In partnership with independent authors, The Foundation will distribute FREE books to communities in the metro Atlanta, GA area. These authors have written engaging texts that provide wisdom and insight regarding various issues. This work aligns with The Foundation's mission to be the premiere educational platform that delivers this training nationwide. Atlanta, GA is just the beginning of our national work. Our Movement believes this city is ripe to receive the Conscious Conservative message, because Black residents deserve discussions related to political competition as they focus on building better. Atlanta, GA is best-known for being a modern Black Wall Street. But it is also known for high crime rates, poverty, and other social ills. By presenting a better social, political, and economic offer to Black Americans of all levels, we will see conservatism gaining ground in these deep Blue areas. Our Why Conservatism is much more than politics. It is a way of living that ensures our success in the social, political, and economic spheres. Gifting books to families in the areas has been the easiest method to spark conversations about Conscious Conservatism and our work to bring political competition to Black residents. Such efforts also dismantle racial barriers between Black voters and White Conservatives. As you know, our Movement is focused on building an alliance so the Republican Party comes to reflect the core values we need, especially in the area of education and economics. And while the GOP makes “promises” to do effective outreach in Black neighborhoods, not a single local party has discussed anything conservative to Black residents. They are not serious about Black Outreach. But we are. We are committed to doing things a better way so we get better results. And we have developed the most effective Black Outreach initiative through our evangelism and book giveaways. Book topics within our outreach efforts include:
Since piloting our first evangelism efforts in March 2022, we have witnessed an openness among Black residents to hear our message. We are planting the seed in 2022 so as 2024 rolls around, our Movement can make an aggressive effort to sell viable conservative candidates to those willing to entertain new options. But the seed must first be sown. And our book distribution and evangelism are the keys. Since launching this new initiative, we have witnessed an increase in donations from our Beloved Givers. In addition, The Foundation has received more book sales and clients because people love working with businesses who foster community engagement. That is the lesson I want to teach you today. As business leaders, we don't have to stand on the sidelines when we see social, political, or economic turmoil. We can apply the spiritual laws found in Conscious Conservatism to empower others while seeing our works thrive as well.
