Worrying is a mental habit. We often do it because we believe that by worrying, it will cause the thing we desperately need to manifest. Worrying is a type of "prayer" that might bring results eventually, but it comes with anxiety, depression, illness, fatigue, and other physical ailments. Worrying is birthed out of a carnal nature, which only sees dire straits using the physical eye. But we are more than physical beings. We are spirits in earthen vessels (2 Corinthians 4:7). And if we learn how to do things according to God's Spirit, we will get His results. There is a better mental habit for us today. We can develop this habit to produce the results we want while maintaining our health and well-being. This habit is called the Faith Habit, and it works supernatural wonders in our every-day lives. When confronted with an immediate need, rather than allowing worry to control our minds, we instead exercise faith. Faith is the conduit by which our prayers reach God's ears; and when we present ourselves in this manner, we have confidence that God will be our present help in times of struggle. The Bible teaches, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6 KJV). In other words, to obtain what we desire, we must first approach God according to His standards: by exercising faith. From there, He rewards us with the right answers and the right favor that we need to solve our pressing challenge. But can this Faith Habit work in all situations? Can it work in business? Can we activate this faith when dealing with money? Or is money "filthy lucre," which so many religious leaders preach? The answer is found in understanding the purpose of money. The dollar is simply matter. It is a symbol of commerce. I exchange my services, training, and products for my clients' dollars so they have what they need to prosper. My training empowers them to manifest their calling, which helps them lead in the social, political, or economic spheres. When they exchange their dollars for my insight, they experience greater blessings in record time compared to people who never invest in their personal leadership development. That's all. Money is simply matter. As such, when coming before God regarding financial issues, our requests should not be like other people who do not know how to ask aright. We must make our requests known in a way that aligns with God's heart and mind. And His desire is to see the Kingdom of God living in every man. As the Scriptures declare, "[After all] the kingdom of God is not a matter of [getting the] food and drink [one likes], but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and [heart] peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Romans 14:17 AMPC). More easily stated, God desires unbroken fellowship with us and the health, wealth, and prosperity of all people. This principle includes the health and wellness of our businesses. Knowing this, we can present our requests in a faith-filled mindset: "God, provide more opportunities for me to help more people using my products and services that will bless them above what they exchange in dollars. Lead me to where they are and bring people my way who have the financial means to purchase what I sell." Notice how the faith prayer shifts in this way. Rather than saying, "God, give me more money," ask for more opportunities that release the blessing from both parties: you and the person you serve. Once you've made your prayer clear, wait patiently for God to respond. Quite often, He will give you an idea, an unction, or an instruction on what you must do next to see your prayer realized. When you receive that instruction, obey it immediately. Do not rationalize it. Obey the instructions. This is how faith operates. Obedience to the instruction is like sowing seed in fertile soil. In due time, you will reap a harvest. As you wait, continue sowing more seed, whether that be in the form of networking, content marketing, book publishing, or social media marketing. As you continue exercising your faith, God will ensure you have bread to eat, a safe place to dwell, clothes on your back, and immediate provision to keep you safe and alive. Once the timing of your harvest arrives, remember God who gave you the power to get that wealth. Do not neglect Him and do not make money your new god. Instead, honor Him with your first fruits. Take a small percentage (a tithe) and give it freely to the work of ministry that aligns with your God-given vision (a church, a charity, that single mother who's hurting, etc.). While God doesn't need your money personally, financing His work helps establish His Kingdom in the earth. And you can be a conduit of that grace when you follow His instructions. As you reap your new financial harvest, continue exercising faith. Make it your new habit force. You don't need to reach a struggling place to exercise it. You can practice faith even when all is well. And as you do this, your life will be a true reflection of God's laws working through you.
